Tates Creek coach Jana Costner started the following lineup: So. Laliyah Williams, 5-5 So. Alexis Bazzell, 5-8 Fr. Koko Castle, 5-5 Sr. Miracle Morbley, and 5-7 So. Kaleigh Potts. Lafayette coach Allison Tates Denton countered with 5-10 Sr. Tess Nelson, 5-6 So. Skylar Davis, 5-10 Sr. Belle Combs, 5-6 Jr. Anna Clay Denton, and 5-5 Sr. Abbey Popham.
Lafayette took advantage of 22 Tates Creek turnovers in a 53-33 victory over the Lady Commodores. Lafayette shot 44.9% from the field including five of 14 from the three point line. The Lady Generals connected on four of nine free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored 24 points off 22 Tates Creek turnovers. Tates Creek shot 36.4% from the field including three of 12 from beyond the arc. The Lady Commodores connected on six of eight free throes, pulled down 22 rebounds, and scored six points off 12 Lafayette turnovers.
Abbey Popham led Lafayette with 18 points including four three point baskets, five rebounds, two assists, and two steals, Belle Combs added 12 points, three rebounds, and two steals. Tess Nelson recorded seven points, three rebounds, and three assists. 5-8 So. Addison Combs chipped in with five points, eight rebounds, and two blocked shots. Anna Clay Denton recorded two points, five rebounds, fopur assists, and three steals.
Koko Castle led Tates Creek with 13 points including two three point baskets and three rebounds. 5-6 Jr. Jazlene Potter added eight points and two rebounds. Miracle Morbley recorded three points, seven rebounds, and three assists.
