'PR' Fancy Ridge Seven (Ginger), UKC, AKC, NKC, PKC
Ginger, at 8 months, treed the 2nd biggest coon
ever seen in our county by herself while the other hounds
went off on a wild goose chase.
Ginger was purchased by Billy Phelps of Tompkinsville, Kentucky.
Now her daughter, Moonshine, is following (literally)
in her mothers' footsteps.

Moonshine has gone to San Diego, California, to hunt bear and mountain lion there!

Did you know???

PLOTT HOUNDS
BREED HISTORY
Although relatively unknown as a pet, the Plott Hound is a very old hunting hound. The original ancestors, a wide variety of boar-hunting hounds, moved from Germany to the United States with immigrant Jonathan Plott in 1750 (or 1730, depending on your source.) His dedicated breeding program eventually created the dog that bears his name.
Highly regarded in the Coonhound category for its skill at chasing large game and participating in the sport of raccoon hunting, the Plott Hound is eligible to compete in hunting field trials as well as in conformation. They can be registered with the UKC, AKC, NKC, PKC, and perhaps other associations. As of August, 1998, AKC is allowing Plotts to be shown in open shows along with the rest of the miscellaneous group. "PR" in front of a dogs neame indicates Purple Ribbon Bred" -- breeding going back six generation of UKC registration, probably to Jonathan Plott's original hounds.
