The Disciples of the Pig

Sick world began as four musicians from the Huntington,WV area who were fed up with the dull, drab world of college radio and MTV. In the old days, there was fire and brimstone, and a dazzling display of and lights eminating thruogh a wall of amplifiers as high as the eye could see.As music became more money-oriented,the Gods of Grunge appeared to the mindless millions of MTV viewers who believed this was how supposed to be. But as history tells us, foundation of beliefs are meant to be shaken from time yo time,if not completely shattered. In the steps Sick World, four individuals who couldn't find in the airways what was in their hearts.

The four original disciples were Andy(vocals),Larz(guitars\vocals),Mike(bass\vocals,Chris(drums\percussion).The four began the long road to set things as they were, with a touch of their own twisted ideals thrown in for good measure. Within a year,"Power Trip" appeared, the groups first chronicle to the philosipies of the Satn Pig, an idol that symbolizes everything wrong in todays society. The cassette only format featured "Surrender to Twilight", "I Play God",and "Empty", and the message was heard loud and clear..

Sick World began thier conquest for world domination by playing anywhere people were willing to hear them. A following began, and soon the group found themselves opening for such national acts ac Cathedral,Eye Hate God,Skinlab,Exodus,AC,nad Incantation. Reviews began to pour from accros the country proclaiming the group to be the next era in modern music. Sales of "Power Trip" were phenominal, sending it into multiple pressings. Merchandise began to appear and soon the Followers of the Pig could be readily identified in a crowd. Performing weekly in Ohio,Kentucky,West Virginia,Pennsylvannia, and Tennesse, Sick World began to spread the word of the Pig to any and all who weren't afraid to hear it. Amidst the back-breaking tour schedule, Sick World managed to write a follow-up to "Power Trip" appropriately titled "Cruci-Fiction in the 90's".

The CD featuers a varying array of musicianship from the bone-crushing tracks as "Mindfuck","Spite","Psyco-erotica\Victimized",the grooved oriented dance beats of "Mystique" and "69 Miles to Jonestown" as well as the somber gut-wrenching tones of "Snakecharmer" and "Needles and Razors". Work such as this are too powerful to be ignored but the music speaks for itself.

In the weeks and months that are to follow,Sick World will be appearing more and more. From city to city and state to state.Spreading the sickness to anyand all who are within sonic reach of their call,to all those for and opposed to the gathering of like-minded individuals who share the same passion for music as those who came before us.Salvation is at hand.......and it might be alot closer then you think

Well sickworld broke up in early 1998. They had a bunch of problems which they couldn't work out..
