The
Mariners' Museum
Founded
in 1930 by Archer M. and Anna Hyatt Huntington, The Mariners' Museum has
preserved the culture of the sea through interpretive galleries that display
ship models, figureheads, maritime paintings, decorative arts, and numerous
other artifacts. The Mariners' Museum is one of the world's largest
and best known maritime museums. The Museum is an exceptional research
facility containing a vast collection of maritime related materials. |
Chris
Craft Collection
In
1986 The Mariners Museum acquired
the Chris~Craft Company archives for preservation of this national
treasure. For more than sixty years Christopher
Columbus Smith, was a leader in producing powered pleasure boats.
The Mariners collection covers all models produced by Chris~Craft
from 1922 through 1980. For a modest research fee (approximately)
$15.00 you can have your Chris~Craft boat researched. You
will receive a copy of the hull card, sales literature, copies of production
photos, original price lists and any other records that may exist for your
Chris~Craft
hull. |

in historic Port Townsend, Washington, the Wooden Boat Foundation is a
non-profit organization. They are committed to fostering respect
for self, community and environment by providing a center for unique educational
experiences through the exploration of traditional maritime skills. |
