What the Bible teaches about baptism.
1. The Bible teaches that Christ was baptized as an example to us. Matthew 3:13-17 Then Jesus came from Gaililee to John at the Jordan to be baptized by him. An John tried to prevent Him, saying, "I need to be baptized by You, and are You coming to me?" But Jesus answered and said to him, "Permit it to be so now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness." Then he allowed Him. Whan He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him. And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
2. The Bible teaches that all men are commanded to be baptized. Mark 16:15-16 And he said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. "He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.
3. The Bible teaches that even the worst of people can be saved by baptism. acts 2:36-41 Acts 9:10-18
4. That Bible teaches that you must believe Jesus is the son of God. Acts 8:35-38
5. Baptism produces drastic changes in believers lives. Acts 16:25-34.
