Interview with Trevor

Matthew Thomas- First off, I would like to think you for taking the time to do this.

Trevor- No problem. Would love to do an interview for you.

Matthew Thomas- How long have you been customizing?

Trevor- Umm... I think it was late last year. I made alot of guys when I started, and I was making Hasbros too, but they were terrible and I never put thier pictures up on my site, I've been making Jakks for a few months now.

Matthew Thomas- Where did you get your start in customizing?

Trevor- I guess you could say that I got my start in customizing when I "found" Quirk's Customs. Before that I didn't have a single clue of what figure customizing was. I E-mailed Danny Quirk after looking through his site, with questions of what paint to use, etc, etc.

Matthew Thomas- Most people dont know it but you are the one who came up with the idea for a custom figure alliance and for a custom figure challange. How does it make you feel to know that you are the one that started all the alliance and challanges?

Trevor- Pretty damn good, proud of myself for being such an "innovater" in the customizing world, and I think I've given the customizing hobby some cool ideas, the thing is, is that they have been copied and reproduced so many times over, I think (know) some people are sick of them - one of those people being myself. When my page debuted and I started the Custom Challenge, my site was the ONLY site to have it, now, you can go to any custom figure site and about 99.9 % percent of them have one, all claiming to be better than the last one. On top of that, the webmasters who hold these go around advertising these, E-mailing people to compete in thier challenges, and I end up getting these, well, I don't think the webmasters really think about how much a slap in the face it is to me to have these things sent to me, I wish I had some "Custom Challenge rip-off tourney automatic mail deleter" button in my mail box. lol. But, I'm pretty much acustom to it and have to chuckle and roll my eyes whenever I see them anymore.

Matthew Thomas- Most people dont know this but I am Jason Clarks cousin. And you are practically the person that made him big. And now he is among the best customizers on the net. How does it make you feel to know that you helped him get big?

Trevor- I don't know if I would say that I made him big. No, anyone with great customizing skill, pure customizing talent, and determination like Jason makes THEMSELF big. My site was just the outlet to make him more recongnized. He had his work (and still does) displayed at The Hardcore Figure Update, and I think he earned more recongnization when my site came about (which his work is featured on) because ,my site was the new, fresh thing, and everyone wanted to see this new fresh site, well, Jason's work was there, so, they flocked to that site, and they could see Jason's work there. So, no, I didn't make Jason big, I just gave him more exposure. Now, look, hell, he has his OWN site.

Matthew Thomas- As I said earlier you are the one that came up with the idea to make a custom figure alliance. How did it make you feel to be in a type of partnership with people like Danny Quirk, Jason Clark, and Plexbomb?

Trevor- It felt great, I came up with the original idea, and "presented" it to Jason Clark and Danny Quirk, they "added" some things here and there. But, we went through all each others work, so, we were voted in, and I made it, not only because I made it up, but, because my work proved that I deserved to be in. I've seen several psuedo "alliances" latley, and they're a joke, I even remeber seeing one rip-off, psuedo alliance banner saying on it: "Except No Immitations", sorry guys, but, your "alliance" in its self is a TOTAL immitation, try to think up an original idea next time. Sorry, but if it's not THE Custom Figure Alliance, started by Jason Clark, Trevor and Danny Quirk, then it's not the real deal, and nothing close to it.

Matthew Thomas- Thank you for taking the time to do this interview. I hope we can do it again some time.

Trevor- No problem, thank YOU, for taking YOUR time to interview me, I appreciate it. Thanks, and I'd love to do another one.
