Hi, Hope everyone enjoyed Louisville this year! I did with a few exceptions! I think they need to revise their way of thinking there! They need some announcers for one,at least ones that have the correct information on the vehicles and drivers!

I also think that some of the drivers that get screwed by them need to ban together and protest the place and never pull there again! I think they did do some pullers wrong there this year!

Among them, Scott Teipen, who had what I thought to be a super run, was dripping some water on the track at about the 175 foot mark was measured back to there on friday night, but then on saturday afternoon Ken McKillip was on a super run and was also dripping water most of the way down the track wound up winning the class! Also, on saturday night, Brett Berg went 242.06 and Dave Archer went a 242.02 and out of those two runs only Dave Archers was considered a full pull, even though Brett Berg went 4 hundreths further! Whats wrong with this picture?

One other thing I noticed, even though I have nothing against John Deeres, was all the green tractors there! There were more John Deeres than any other colors there! Are the Owensboro boys partial to green? Any feedback would be welcome!

On a lighter and better note, Was the announcement made saturday afternoon that Leroy Mason was going to be getting married to Photo Joes Daughter, CONGRATULATIONS Leroy! May You enjoy many years together!!

Also, on thursday night, Jay Fuqua and his Tennessee Tracks IH 3688 turned down what was to be the winning run on his first pass as the test puller! Luckily enough he still got second place! Also on thursday night Mike Diubles Pumpkin Gone Mad A-C went mad and broke the left side axle on the starting line!

On friday night Bill Lawrence and his Randy Canadian made a full pull but was un-able to return due to a blown engine! And on saturday afternoon, Doug Horral had a wild ride as the whole front axle fell out from under his Bicep II Magnum tractor! And another unfortunate puller saturday afternoon was Galen Young, who was rumored to have just put in a new and bigger engine in it for this pull also broke the front axle at the hub in the 4X4 class!

At this time I would like to also take the time to tell you that I met some of the most wonderful people in the sport of pulling this past week at Louisville! They were, Roland and Fonda Barr, also Drew Markel of Teipens Night Life Pro Stock tractor team, and also, Don Masterson, all of whom are really nice people!

I also would like to add that I got to see and talk to another of the pullers in the pits on thursday morning, Carl Atley, another of the nicest people you'd ever want to meet!

Thanks to a viewer of this page I got an e-mail from them letting me know I forgot another unfortunate puller that got screwed there as well! The puller was Steve Klingenberg, he had a really good run friday night and they did something and he ran again back to back and laid down another super run and then again something happened to where he had to run again! The later run being almost last in the class after he had hurt an engine on the second attempt! Also another unfortunate puller was Stan Shelton,he had a full pull in the sand pile and they didn't even give another puller a chance before they decided to re-weight the sled and he too hurt his engine on the first run and it showed on the second one!

I would like to thank the person who wrote, but want to keep that confidential till I get the ok from them to post their name here!

I got some more information from another reader letting me to know that I forgot another incident that happened in the 7,200 modified finals saturday night as well! Seems like that in the pull off that it was always pull in order you made it to the pull off! There was one tractor in that class that was supposed to be the first tractor out and they let him drop back to the last of the class! Come on people, what kind of truck and tractor pull is this supposed to be anyway? I always thought it was the best, but now am thinking any Fort Recovery pull is better! Didn't know you could have a tractor pull and make the rules up as the pull was going on! Do they think that the fans don't pay attention to what is going on!

Another thing I have noticed is that the full pull mark is never the same! Might be 235 feet in one class and then on another night for that same class might be 245 feet! And one other thing I can't figure out! As many years as that pull has been going on, and as many times as they have used the Bauer Built sled, why can't they already know what stops all the pullers in the different classes before they run away with the sled and half way through the sand pile and let two or three do that before they decide to reweight the sled! This may be an oversight on their part but who really knows!
