I recently won a Stubben Saddle by entering the Stubben Lucky Stars contest (you can see my pic on the Stubben website @ stubbenusa.com and go under Lucky Stars). The saddle I won was a Rex which ended up too small for me. So I traded it for an adult edelwiess saddle. The saddle is great! I highly recommend Stubben saddles to anyone and every one for one reason: they simply are the best quality and unlike other popular brands they last! (maybe two reasons!). The Edelwiess is the hunter version though the tree is the same as it is in the deeper saddle model. It has that hunter chic w/ the flat cantle and all (close contact). My new saddle is not only comfortable for me but very comfortable for my horse which is important b/c comfort affects performance! I reccomend any stubben saddle again to anyone and everyone! Its a totally great saddle and well worth the price if not more!!

My parents got me a saddle for my birthday, a Lynn Palm Crosby. Their main reason of buying it was the fact that I've always wanted a crosby, and Lynn Palm designed her saddle to have a wide tree. (With Arabs, you need a wide tree). But after riding in it and breaking it in, it has many other handy dandy little tricks that are really cool. First of all, my equitation has improved 100%. It's a jumping saddle, and the knee rolls put your legs right into position. After I used it for a week, my legs hurt so bad! I thought I was going to have to exchange it, but after I kept it another week, I realized, the reason my legs hurt, was because they had been put into a correct riding position, I wasn't used to that. So anyway, on a scale of one to ten, a definite ten! If you guys need a great hunter/jumper saddle, It's the Lynn Palm Prix de World. It's pricey, but very worth it!
