~ Foundation Members ~
Kristin (CoveyHorse@aol.com) And Angela (BrezeHorse@aol.com) are the
foundation members of this club. It is not exactly a position, but
rather a status. We founded this club, and made most of the original
decisions for the TTC. This status holds no power to speak of, but the
Foundation Members reserve the right to revise rules and appoint TTC
Invitaitonal Comittee members, as well as appoint positions when we feel
the current holder is not fullfilling their duties. We have the "last
say" in decisions affecting the running of The TTC.

Joining

  • The TTC Underground Is Strictly Invitational Only. We Want The Best of
The Best Here! So you should feel very honored if you
have been accepted. Current Memebrs of The TTC May Recommend New Members For
Consideration. These Possible Members Will Undergo A Simple Screening
    Process by the Invitational Committee.
  • Though getting into the TTCU isn't as tough as it used to be, we still
have requirements for members. You must participate! Three months of no
participation will lead to extraiction (being kicked out) of the club.
But, if you simply send us an e-mail stating that you will not be able
to participate for any length of time, we will be glad to let you stay
in. Also, if something such as a computer failure occurs and you cannot
notify us, just let us know as soon as your back and running and you can
re-join the TTCU altough, if it has been more than 3 months, some of
your horses may have been sold by the registries.

    Member Conduct
  • I don’t think I actually need to list these....just no fighting, no harrassing members, no swearing, etc.

    Auctions, Show And Races
  • First decide on a date and place. Then make up
the classes or divisions. Too few classes might lead to overcrowding,
too many could be a lot of unnecessary work.
  • Once you have your entry requirements and class list created, send a simple copy of the information to CoveyHorse so it can be put onto the TTCU Show Calendar.
  • To pick the results of a show or race, just draw names out of a hat.
Another way to do it is to assign each horse a number, then draw numbers
out of a hat. That way you can reuse the numbers.
  • You must give at least 5 days notification before the entries to a show/race are due if the show has over 8 classes. Shows with 8 or less classes must give at least 3 day notification. This way, all members have a chance to enter. You
can't decide to have a show in 10 minutes because it is very likely that
some members won't get a chance to enter. If you decide to close results
early, you must give at least 3 days notice.
  • Any Member Wishing To Hold An Inter-Club Show/Race Must First Have The
    Consent of The Comittee.
  • Members may set their own rules, entry requirements and class list for
    all shows/races.

    Club Mail

  • Mail sent to the entire TTCU Club must be TTCU-related only. Please do not send chain letters, non-horse related forwards, or mail for other clubs to the TTCU Mailing list. If you have a few friends from TTCU that you want to send this sort of mail to, it's fine, just don't use the entire TTCU mailing list because, as you may know, a lot of our members barely have time for the club, let alone reading "useless" e-mails. We all would enjoy cute horse jokes or something of the like, so just try to be reasonable and we will too.
  • The second offense for sending non-club mail (after a warning--we'll let you know) will result in a fine of $5000, which will go to the jackpot for our raffle.

    Auctioning/Selling/Offering Horses
  • Prices for horses should be reasonable, but as in real life, are based on whatever people are willing to pay. Elite Equine point status should warrant a higher price as should breeding success. Pictures in your ad increase the appeal of the horse.
  • Members may sell horses whenever they want and in whatever way they want, providing it is a fair transaction. (i.e., no "I'll give you this horse if you make sure my horses place in your show")
  • Auctions can be a popular medium for selling horses as well. Any member may hold an auction inside of TTCU.
  • There will be a fine for any member who attempts/succeeds to make a horse ownership transfer for a horse that isn't registered in the name registry. The fine will be at least $2000 ($1000 of that will be to cover the actual registration of the horse) plus the amount of money they have made on the sale of this horse (if they have sold it). This money will go to the jackput for our raffle The buyer will not be affected by this.
  • There is no exception to this rule. You may be able to get by without anyone noticing, but if you get caught then you must pay the fine.

    TTC Elite Point System
  • At a show or race, points are given out to the top finishers (1-6 is
    reccommended).
  • No more than 50 points may be awarded for 1st place.
  • Elite Equine points are cummulative and are added up from a horse's day of entrance into the club until its exit.
  • After each show or race, you add up your horse’s points and keep
adding to that number as the horse wins points.
  • When your horse
recieves a certain amount of points, they get a title before their name.
    # of Points Title Symbol
    ____________________________________________
    300 Champion Ch.
    500 A Champion ACh.
    1000 B Champion BCh.
    1500 C Champion CCh.
    2000 D Champion DCh.
    2500 E Champion ECh.
    3000 F Champion FCh.
    3500 G Champion GCh.
    4000 H Champion HCh.
    4500 I Champion ICh.
Etc. etc. at 500 point intervals
  • So, say after 8 shows, your horse, Star, has 300 points. His name would
now be Ch. Star. It would remain that way until he reached 500 points,
where his name would be ACh. Star.
  • To make it official, please send in your Elite Equine updates (when your horses obtain new titles)to CoveyHorse so they may be added to the Elite Equines page.
    Registries
  • There are a few different registrations in TTC Underground.
  • The first
    is the mandatory name registry.
Horses names that begin with A-M (CoveyHorse@aol.com) and horses names
that begin with N-Z (BrezeHorse@aol.com) This will be used simply as a
list of horse names in TTC. Awards in front of the name do not count as
the first letters in the name!
  • To register your horse, e-mail the following information to the
appropriate registrar: Horse’s Name/E-mail Address (please include your
e-mail adress after each horse's name)
  • There is a registration fee of $1000 per horse, unless the horse is bred from a stallion and mare that are already owned in TTCU. In this case, the registration fee is only $250.
  • For the first week of membership, new members get all registrations free as an incentive to get active in the club right from the start.
  • The money taken from registries goes into a monthly lottery and one members each month will be randomly chosen to recieve the money.
  • Then, the registrar keeps a list of these names and posts the list on
a webpage. This way we can see what names are already taken, see who
    owns what horse.
  • Breed Registrations
  • Breed Registries May Be Started At Anytime With Prior Approval From The
Foundation Members As Well As A Concensous Of Horses In That Breed Or
Category Totally No Less Than 20 and with no less than 3 different owners.
  • The Breed Registrars Will Be
Responsible For Holding No Less Than Quarterly Breed Shows To Count For
Breed Points To Be Totaled Annually.
  • Registrars May Chose Any Format,
But Here Is A Good Example Of A Correct Format....
    Horse Name:
    Gender:
    Color:
    Owner Name:
    Barn name/Screen Name:
More Information May Be Required, But It Is Recommended Not To Ask For
    Less.
  • A breed registry has the power to sell the horses of a member who has
quit. The price may be at or lower than $200. The profir will go to the
    holder of the register.
    Breeding And Aging
  • To breed horses, you can use your mare & stallion, your mare & someone
else’s stallion, your stallion & someone else’s mare.....
  • Mares must be pregnant for at least 1 month.
  • Mares may not be bred for at least one month after their last birth.
  • It is best for mares to *not* have foals born in the same year for fairly obvious reasons...
  • Foals should age appropriately. Obviously don’t wait a year until
they’re a yearling, but don’t say they’re 3 years old if they were born
    yesterday.
  • Other horses can age too, but they don’t have to. It’s up to you.
  • Claiming Issues
  • Barn Names Must Have A Variation of *At Least* Two(2) Words, And It Is
Preferred That No Two Members The Same Barn Initials.
  • To clarify this, the name of the barn must be
different from all other names by at least two (2) words to avoid
    confusion
(i.e., you can't claim the barn Stoney Brook Equestrian Center when someone else owns the barn Stoneyhill Equestrian Center
  • Members Should Try To Be Considerate When Claiming Famous Horses.
Don't Go Over-Board! For Example, You Should Not Claim Secretariat,
Ruffian, Man'O War, The Black Stallion, Cigar, Silver Charm, Count
Fleet, Whirlaway, Real Quiet, Jus De Pommes, Gifted, and Romer.
  • Horses Must Be Registered With The TTC Name System, Or Forfiture Of
The Previously Claimed Names May Occur. The Breed Registries Are
Optional, But Not A Substituion, They Are A Somewhat......Added-Perk!
  • For any horse to change ownership in a registry, the buyer
of the horse must notify the registrar of the change in ownership.
  • If the registrar does not receive notice from the buyer/seller, the
horse has not changed ownership and is still registered as the seller's
    property.
  • There Is A Maximum Number of Barns Owned Per Member. Each Memebr Is
Allowed To Independently Own Three (3) Barns As Well As Co-Own A
Fourth(4th) One. 4-H Barns do not count for this.
  • Riders, trainers, jockeys, grooms and all other people are considered
free contractors and are therefore not owned.
