The next morning we got up and drove to Memphis to visit Graceland, the home of Elvis in which we took a tour of Graceland and what a site. Upon entering Graceland we entered the White room where Elvis did most of his piano playing. Next we saw the pool room. We visited the kitchen, jungle room and went to the basement where Elvis had 4 tv sets in a row to watch different programs at the same time. Our journey ended at the final resting place of Elvis, his mother, father, grandmother, and twin brother. The crowd wasn't bad at all. I really recommend that you take a trip down or up to visit Graceland someday, you won't be dissappointed.
If you are ever in the state of TN and visit Nashville, I recommend you visti Opryland also. Opryland is a amusement park with plenty of rides to chose from for the old and the young. The first ride we rode was the water log ride. Susan and I and Bug didn't get wet, but just ask Jennifer what the ride was like. She ended up in the front of the log and got soaked. She vowed not to get in the front again. Later that evening we rode another log ride, which seats about 14 people at one time. This didn't get any of us real wet, but as we were leaving you had to cross a bridge, so I thought I would take a picture of the log coming down the hill. As you can see, I got the picture but what you didn't see was I also got soaked. After the log came to the bottom a wave of water appeared out of nowhere and splashed me good.
Later that evening we were so hungry and the food there is so costly but we had to eat something. We found a little place called Chicken Plantation. There you could get a 2 piece chicken dinner for $4.99. You will pay $1.49 for the drink, but your refills are free. This is real nice and we really recommend you visit them.
As we were leaving the Plantation we saw a building that said,"Chaos" on it. Not knowing what was inside, we went in anyway and what a surprise we got. It was a rollercoaster inside of a building, that took you round and round and round until you reached the top of the building and then there was only one way down and that was the way you went up, round and round. We loved this ride. We rode it about 5 times.
This is just a little of what we did at Opryland, there was much more, but I don't want to spoil the surprise for you, so go and visit if you can. My pictures will be available soon, so keep checking back.
