“Ready for the big history test?” I asked walking through the hallway to the next class.

“”Not really, save me a seat right next to you,” Brian told me as we walked together.

“Why do you want to cheat off me? I get, like, 80’s on my tests.”

“Well an 80 is better than a failing grade.” Brian tried to sound convincing.

“Whatever, lets just get to class before the bell rings… so we can save our seats.”

*Rrrinnggg* We jogged the rest of the way to class.

“Everyone get to your seats so you can start on your tests,” Mrs. Lovejoy said to our class.

“Excuse me Mrs. Lovejoy?” The intercom buzzed. “Is Brian Littrell there?”

“Yes he is.” Brian turned so he was facing me.

“Tell him to come down to the office, he has an important phone call.” Brian gave me a frighten look.

“I’ll come over right after school,” I whispered to him.

He nodded his head yes and moved towards the office.

Later that day:

When I got home, I ran up to my room and threw a small pebble at Brian’s window across from me.

He opened up his window, “Anne you have to come over! I gotta tell ya somethin’!” Brian yelled from his window.

“Okay wait by the front door.” I ran downstairs and out the door while yelling, “Mom! I’ll be at Brian’s house!”

When I reached his door I was just about to knock, when the door swung open with a grinning Brian in front. “Come upstairs and I’ll tell ya everything.”

“Okay” When I walked into the room, there were three big suitcases on his bed. “Brian, what is going on? Are you going somewhere?”

“No, I’m just packin’ up my stuff for the hell of it.” He smirked at me.

“Shut up.”

“Well, as I was going to explain before I was rudely interrupted. You know that important phone call that I got? Well it was my cousin Kevin; he wants me to audition for a group. I told him yes, so now I’m flying to Orlando, Florida tomorrow morning at 3:30a.m.”

“Whoa! That’s just to cool! ”

“Isn’t it? Anne, I’m going to be famous!”

“Think of where you’re going to go! The places you’re going to see! You’re gonna travel all over the world! You’re going to see Italy, Germany, and probably Australia too! Oh, how lucky you are.”

“I’ll make you a promise. If I travel to those countries I’ll take you there.” Anne’s eyes went wide.

“Oh man! That would be so cool! Thank you so much!” Anne gave Brian a hug. “ Well, I have to go, if I’m going to wake up early for you tomorrow.”

“Okay, bye”

3:30 in the morning:

When I woke up, I got dressed and ran to the kitchen. I looked at the only glowing green light in the room. It was blinking 3:30.

“Oh Crap!”

“Maybe they’re still there. Actually, they better still be there,” I said to myself as I was running out the door.

I got to the airport and ran through the almost deserted terminal. On the big TV it said, Flight 524 to Orlando departed at 3:50. That was 3 minutes ago. I ran to the glass window and banged on it with my fist. “Noooo!” The plain soared into the air. Brian was gone.
