You knocked softly on my heart
And bid me come with you
I said I wasn't worthy
My life was dark with sin
You smiled and took my hand
And said I was forgiven
Your grace would set me free
You banished all the darkness
That I had lived within
You took away the pain
That filled my very soul
You brought me into light
And gave me love unasked
You said I am forgiven
