"So, Alex, what’s on the agenda today?" I asked, as Theresa fixed my hair into two braids.
"Well, Kevin called and asked if you girls would like to go over and hang out in his pool with Brian, Leighanne, and the rest of the crew. But I said no, I mean why on earth would we want to go over there…" Aj snorted, but I cut him off outraged.
"You told him no! Why, I mean me and Theresa might want to go!" He just started laughing at me.
"Ah-ha! So you do like Kev! I knew it had to be him or Nick!" He stated, noticing my face flush to a new shade of deep pink. Theresa was giggling with him while I just sat there frowning. "I told him we’d go over. You girls go get your swimsuits. Theresa you better have a sexy one, and Steph if Nicks there, yours better be pretty damn conservative."

We pulled into Kevin’s driveway, parking behind Brian’s car. I climbed out of Aj’s truck and stared in awe at the large house in front of me. Theresa climbed out next to me and gawked at the mansion much in the way I was.
"If you think that’s cool, wait ‘til you see the inside." Aj grinned, wrapping an arm over both our shoulders.
"Well then, lets go!" Theresa and I smiled eagerly. We all walked up to the door and knocked. I unconsciously straightened my flame decal tank top, nervously waiting for Kevin to answer the door. The door opened, revealing Kevin in a thin white undershirt and khaki shorts. God, he looked so freaking hot, I felt that giddish teenager returning. I just forced a smile on my face and fought the urge to burst into giggles.
"Hey J, hope you all remembered your bathing suits. Everyone’s already out back in the pool. Come on." He smiled at us. Theresa and I followed eagerly behind him, both stealing glances at his cute ass. Aj stayed behind us, obviously staring at Theresa’s behind. We walked out the sliding glass doors that led to the large pool in his backyard.
"Holy cow! That thing is huge!" Theresa gawked, already pulling off her oversized white tee shirt. She had recently bought her new bikini. It was a shade of baby blue with bright yellow flowers. Mine wasn’t as revealing as her’s though. It was a regular tankini, black with blue waves along the seam lines. I nervously pulled off my tank top and dropped it onto the lounge chair where Theresa had tossed hers. Theresa had already removed her blue jean shorts and was ready to jump into the pool.
"Damn!" I heard muttered behind me, coming from both Aj and Kevin as they gazed at Theresa. I giggled softly and took off my cut-off shorts.
Brian, Leighanne, Howie, and Hailey were already in the pool, splashing around as Theresa and I climbed in.
"Hello Ladies!" Brian smiled, charming as ever. We waved swam a bit, suddenly being splashed as Kevin and Aj jumped in near us. AJ immediately swam to Theresa’s side and spoke in a low voice that made her blush softly.
We splashed and played around for about an hour before Nick showed up. I didn’t even realize he was there until someone swam under me, lifting me onto their shoulders.
"God, Nick. You scared me!" I fussed, while everyone else laughed at us.
"Aw, I’m sorry." He smirked, suddenly dropping me back into the water. I came back up to the surface and inhaled deeply. Without giving me a chance to retaliate he swam towards the deeper end of the pool.
"Get back here, Carter." I demanded chasing after him. I finally caught up to him and dunked his blond head under water. He came back up and shook his head, flinging droplets of water at me. He looked right into my eyes with his deep blue puppy eyes.
"Now you’ve asked for it Babe!" At his words I took off back towards everyone else, knowing he was right behind me. I swam up to Aj and hid behind him.
"Alex, Nicky’s trying to get me." I said in a little girl voice.
"Oh he is…" Aj laughed playing along. "Nick, why are you trying to get Steph?"
"’Cause she dunked me!"
"Oh, in that case, here ya go." Aj laughed swimming away. I started to swim away, but Nick caught me by the leg and jerked me back to him. While Nick and I splashed and, as Theresa would put it, flirted shamelessly, Aj did a little flirting of his own.
"Hey Theresa, why don’t you race me to the deeper end of the pool?"
"Umm, no! I can’t touch all the way out there. Hell, the water comes up to my neck in the 4 ½ foot. I don’t think so." Theresa blushed when Aj started cracking up.
"God, you are short, I guess I’ll have to start calling you Midget! Come on, I’ll hold your hand and I won’t let ya drowned. I promise!" Alex laughed, teasingly, grabbing her small hand in his.
"No Aj, I can’t swim really well. I’ll start to sink I know I will." She insisted, trying to avoid looking into Aj’s famous puppy eyes. "Damn it quit looking at me like that!"
"Please…"
"Fine, but if you let me go and I drowned, I’m gonna haunt you forever!" Theresa smiled, holding Aj’s hand tightly as they slowly headed towards the deep end. Like he promised, Aj never let go of her hand, pulling her closer until their bodies touched slightly.
"Can I tell you a secret?" Aj asked, smiling at her.
"Mmm-hmm, tell me all your secrets…" She grinned back, feeling his breath hit her ear as he leaned in.
"I think you’re pretty." His raspy voice echoed in her mind, bringing a slight blush to her face.
"Thanks, I think you’re very sexy…" she whispered back, suddenly becoming aware of his hand resting at her bare waist. She smirked and pulled away until she was against the wall where she could hold on.
Aj followed, pinning her against the wall. She didn’t feel trapped, she actually enjoyed the feeling of heat emanating from his body, the faint smell of his cologne that still clung to him. CK1, her favorite.

"Man what is up them?" Howie asked, swimming towards where Nick and I were playing. I turned and noticed my cousin and best friend at the far end of the pool, staring at each other.
"Well, um, let’s see, she likes him, he likes her, hopefully they’re falling for one another." I stated, smiling a little when they seemed to lean towards one another.
"But J said, Amanda was coming with us tonight to the club…" Brian intercepted, swimming over as well. I just shrugged my shoulders, about ready to strangle my cousin. First he says he ain’t with Amanda anymore, then he flirts with Theresa until she’s hopelessly in love with him and now he’s gonna just run back to another chick. That little prick!
"You guys, it’s none of our business anyway. Aj might want to really call it quits on Amanda this time…" Hailey joined our conversation as she slid an arm around Howie’s strong shoulders.
"What do you mean this time?" I asked, eyes wide.
"It’s just that Aj was really, really head over heels for Amanda and she dumped him for Joey. Well when her relationship didn’t go so hot, Aj was right there for her to use again. I don’t know for sure if Aj’s still in love with her but I wouldn’t leave him and Amanda alone for too long." Kevin explained, merging with our little meeting.
"Okay." I muttered, wanting to go grab Aj by the ear and kick his ass so badly.
"Look Hailey’s right, it isn’t any of our business." Nick added, probably realizing what I was ready to do. "Hey Steph, why don’t we go get a coke?"
"No, how about I go kill my cousin…"

"Hey Aj, we have an audience," Theresa laughed, noticing everyone watching them.
"So…"
"Well, I ain’t in the mood to give them a show…" She grinned and sunk down a little more in the water. "So who all is going to the club tonight?"
"Umm, let’s see the guys, their girls, me, you, Steph, and Amanda." Aj noticed her immediate shock, covered by a confused look.
"Okay, well, I guess I’ll just have to get Nicky boy to be my date…" She stammered, dunking under the water and swimming away from his with ease.

I noticed Theresa head for the pool stairs and quickly followed. She wrapped one of the towels Kevin had laid out and wrapped it around her wet frame.
"Hey, Trease, you okay?" I asked, following her as she sat down on one of the lounge chairs. She nodded and wiped the water from her face. Suddenly Kevin walked up.
"Is everything okay?"
"Yeah she just got a minor cramp. We’re fine." I lied, waiting for Kevin to walk away to turn back to her. "What’s the matter?"
"Guess who’s coming to the club with us tonight? I’ll give you three guesses but you’ll only need one…" Theresa frowned, staring at her baby blue toenails in disgust.
"Amanda…"
"Bingo!" Theresa sound in a raised voice causing everyone to turn and look at us.
"What? Ain’t y’all every heard the song?" I huffed slightly, patting her back softly. "Theresa, you know what Aj would probably do if the shoe was on the other foot?"
"No, and I honestly don’t care!"
"He’d try to make you jealous by flirting with someone else. Pick a guy and start flirting…" I advised, as she rested her head against my shoulder.
"Yeah, I guess I could do that…" She smiled, twirling her hair around her danty fingers, her eyes scanning her selection, resting on Aj for only a moment until his eyes met hers.
