Bob Seger Albums List as follows:
1969 – Ramblin' Gamblin' Man
Bob Seger was born on May 6, 1945, in Ann Arbor, Michigan. His father was a Big Band leader who quit music to work in a factory. His father left the family when Bob was only 12, leaving them in near-poverty with his mother and brother. (His father died in a fire in 1968). In 1961 Seger led a three-piece band, the Decibels, then left them to join a Detroit band called the Town Criers and then left them to join the Omens. He recorded "East Side Story" with members from both the later bands. The song became a local hit. He later produced Glenn Frey's first solo single, "Such a Lonely Child."
In the late sixties, Seger had a strong following in the Midwest and Florida with hits like "Nightbush City Limits","Ramblin' Gamblin' Man", and most notabley, "Heavy Music". His music label, Cameo, folded, putting a halt to his rising success. He recorded "Ballad of the Yellow Beret" as an answer to Staff Sergeant Barry Sadler's song of a slighty different title, "Ballad of the Green Berets". This song was recorded for Are You Kidding Me Records in 1966.
Seger signed with Capitol Records in 1969, but left music in 1970 to return to college. Within one year of his leaving, he returned to music with a band called Teegarden and Van Winkle. These partnerships resulted in Seger's first Reprise LP, Smokin' OP's. Smokin' OP's, Back in '72 and Seven where all commercial failures. The failed single "Get Out of Denver" was later covered by Dave Edmunds.
Seger then moved back to Capitol, were the album Beautiful Loser started to gain popularity. Beautiful Loser intoduced Seger's own backing band, the Silver Bullet Band:
– Drew Abbott, guitar
Beautiful Loser produced a local Detroit hit "Katmandu". The Live Bullet double album, recorded in Detroit, remained on US charts for over a year and eventually went platinum, as have all his subsequent albums.
Night Moves produced the title track hit that reached #8 on the charts and "Rock and Roll Never Forgets". Stranger in Town sold four million and produced two major hits "Still the Same" (#4, 1978) and "Hollywood Nights" (#12, 1978). Against the Wind sold three million with title song reaching #5 on the charts. The Distance sold one and a half million with covered single "Shame on the Moon" (#2, 1983) originly by Rodney Crowell. In 1983 Seger return to the road with an altered Silver Bullet Band including ex-Brand Funk Railroad drummer Don Brewer. The album Like a Rock produced the hit title track, which was sold to Chevy, and the benefits where given to help support autoworkers. Seger has only had one number one hit "Shakedown" for the Beverly Hills Cop II soundtrack.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
VOICE OF AMERICA:
A ROCK AND ROLL LEGEND’S LONG-AWAITED RETURN
FACE THE PROMISE,
BOB SEGER’S FIRST STUDIO ALBUM IN 11 YEARS,
SCHEDULED FOR SEPTEMBER 12th RELEASE
On September 12th, Capitol Records will release Face The Promise, Bob Seger's first studio album in 11 years. Face The Promise opens a masterful new chapter in a songbook that has captured the dreams, ideals, yearnings and truths of the American experience for a remarkable forty years. The album’s lead-off single is entitled “Wait For Me.”
Bob Seger is universally acknowledged by fans and musicians as one of the few truly defining voices of American music. His vivid portraits of working class lives convey the hope and the heartbreak implicit in the American dream. Face The Promise
marks Seger’s return in classic form: urgent, honest, rousing, timeless -- a new and compelling testament to rock and roll’s undying redemptive power.
Seger has sold nearly 50 million albums in his career. Among his eleven platinum and seven multi-platinum awards, Against the Wind, Night Moves and Stranger in Town have each been RIAA-certified for over 5 million album sales in the U.S., as has his massively-influential 1976 breakthrough classic, Live Bullet.
The 1994 Greatest Hits collection has sold over 7 million copies, in an unbroken 600-week run in the upper reaches of the Billboard Pop Catalog chart. He is a Grammy winner (“Against the Wind,” Best Rock Performance by a Group or Duo, 1980) and a 2004 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee.
Observed through the eyes of the outsider and the everyman, the reveler and the romantic, the songs of Bob Seger exemplify the classic in classic rock: “Against The Wind,“ “Turn The Page,” “Rock And Roll Never Forgets,” “Night Moves,” “Katmandu,” “Old Time Rock and Roll” and ”Beautiful Loser,” to name just a few.
