Chapter 19: Heartbreaker

“Hey Bri.” Kevin waved as Brian walked into Kevin’s house.

“Hi.” Brian smiled sitting next to him on the couch.

“Why are you so happy?” Kevin asked flipping through the channels on the TV.

“I found out today that I get to star in Leighanne’s movie.” Brian chuckled and then noticed Kevin’s sudden disappointment. “What’s wrong?” Brian asked.

“Brian, have you ever got interrupted when you start to you know.” Kevin wondered, finally flipping to a channel he liked ESPN.

“Well once or twice but that’s it why?” Brian replied.

“Lucky, it’s happened to me and Stephanie like so many times I lost count.” Kevin complained.

“Really, dang you have bad luck.” Brian laughed.

“Oh thanks. But what should I do?” Kevin questioned wondering Brian’s advice.

“Hold up. Is Kevin, thee Kevin Richardson, asking for my advice.” Brian chuckled.

“Yes, please!” Kevin pleaded.

“Well why don’t you go and spend a while at Jerald’s guest house, back home in Kentucky.” Brian suggested.

“Not a bad idea. But then my mom will be wanting to spent time with me and all that crap, and then she’ll want to meet Stephanie.” Kevin wined standing up off the couch and walking around his living room.

“Come on Kev. Listen, to me. Just spend a while with your mom, let her meet Stephanie and then you can go back to the house and get your bump and grind on.” Brian said in his famous funny voice.

“I just might do that. Let me call Jerald and ask him if I can.” Kevin smiled from ear to ear as he picked up his phone and dialing his brothers number in Kentucky.

-At A.J’s house-

A.J again fell asleep on his couch and was woken up again by the noise of someone knocking at his door.

KNOCK, KNOCK

“Coming.” A.J yelled standing up off the couch and stretching his arms into the sky as he walked towards the door. “Hi.” He mumbled as the door came open and there stood Amanda in a pair of white fitted jeans and white halter top that showed off her pierced bellybutton.

“Hey sexy.” Amanda smiled seductively as she walked into his house. A.J shut the door and followed behind her then falling into his favorite zebra stripped chair. Amanda quickly walked over to him and sat on top of him and kissed him deeply.

“Amanda, I can’t do this no more.” A.J exclaimed pushing her off his lap.

“Why not?” Amanda wondered fixing her lipstick.

“Cause I have a girlfriend.” A.J replied sitting straight up in his seat whipping of the red lipstick off his mouth that Amanda left behind.

“Oh I see so you don’t have feelings for me anymore.” Amanda said pretending to act jealous.

“Yes, I do but I cant do this anymore cause I’m seeing someone else.” A.J frowned at how he had to explain that. Lying back in his seat Amanda walked over to his radio and turned in on and began to sing along to ‘Heartbreaker’ by Mariah Carey as the phone rang.

RING, RING

“Hello.” A.J answered.

“Hi.” A voice laughed.

“Hey Theresa. How was you flight?” A.J asked happy to hear her voice.

“Great. I seen my mom and I told her about us and she wants to meet you and I’m getting ready to go meet some friends from high school.” Theresa explained.

“Oh really. I can’t wait until you come home.” A.J sighed.

“Really and why is that?” Theresa wondered.

“Cause I already miss you.” A.J replied.

“I do to.” Theresa stated. The phone line was quiet for a minute until Theresa heard a girl’s voice in the background. “Whose that?”

“Oh the person singing, that’s Amanda.” A.J answered realizing that Theresa didn’t sound to happy to hear that.

“Amanda as in the Amanda that you use to date, right.” Theresa said as her voice raised a notch.

“Um…yeah.” A.J stuttered hoping that Theresa wouldn’t get to mad.

“Oh really, well let me tell you if you do anything with her you’ll regret it ok.” Theresa warned.

“I understand.” A.J agreed.

“Bye.” Theresa said madly, as she slammed the phone down then raised it back up to her ear. “And I love you.”

“I love you too.” A.J laughed as he hung up after she did.
