I wrote "Gone Away" on July 13, 1999. It was the night before David's funeral. David was my ex-boyfriend and a very close friend to me. He died because of driving drunk. It was a big mistake that I wish there was a way to take it back, but there's no way to do that....I just have to face the facts and accept that he's gone and he'll never be here again, except for in my heart and in the hearts of the ones that loved and still love David. "Special Day" was written by me on June 27, 2000.
