“Yep…and if she slaps me, oh well at least she’ll know how I feel.” A.J comment putting on his black baseball cap.
“Well good luck buddy.” Nick grinned as their hairdresser worked on his blond locks.
“Thanks Nick…oh and you too…don’t forget your words.” A.J chuckled, a bit pulling on his shades while passing Brian.
“A.J…” Brian trailed off looking at him, “I’m proud of you man.”
“Thanks man…I just hope I don’t choke up.” A.J smiled winking at him through his frames.
-On stage-
“Thank you Lexington!” Theresa screamed into the mike.
“Yes thank you, it’s a great pleasure for us three to come and perform in our home state.” Stephanie smiled waving at everyone.
Loud cheering.
“And us and the Backstreet Boys have a special performance in a while and we all hope you enjoy it.” Lisa said with a wink.
“And another thank you to the Backstreet Boys for letting us join their tour. But again….” Theresa trailed off.
“Thank you!” They screamed together as they bowed and headed off the stage.
“Wow, that was great…”
“We do this all the time.” Stephanie cut in looking at Theresa strangely as the three headed into their dressing room to take a break, practice their songs and get ready for their performances.
“No…yeah I know, but I mean in Kentucky…God that felt so good to go in front of people we might know and show off.” Theresa gushed smiling happily.
“She has a point.” Lisa agreed. “Oh guess what?” Stephanie asked sitting down next to Theresa on the leather couch, that sat in front of a TV which showed the BSB performance that was going on.
“Huh?” Theresa mumbled as she watched A.J do pelvic thrust on the stage and flirt with the fans and dancers, which made her feel a ping of jealous. ‘Why are you jealous, your just friends, that’s all.’
“Kevin said his mom liked me.” Stephanie gushed.
“That’s nice.” Theresa said her eyes still glued to the TV.
“You ain’t even listening to me.” Stephanie pouted, then noticed what Theresa was watching. “Oh to busy watching A.J I see.” She giggled lightly.
“Uh huh…hold up…what?” Theresa stuttered shaking her head then looking at Stephanie.
“Oh come on girl, you are so busted.” Stephanie laughed placing an arm around her best friend. “You’re in love.”
“I am not.” Theresa growled standing up and leaving the room.
“Can’t face the truth.” Lisa sighed from her seat in the make up chair.
-On stage, a while later-
“Well, well my fans…” Nick trailed off looking around at the crowd which was screaming hysterically. “Us and the girls of eNVY have a special performance for you.”
“Yes, and Nick, A.J and I will be singing with each of the beautiful ladies.” Kevin smiled.
“And after this song…we will give you something that only LEXINGTON, KENTUCKY is able to see!” A.J screamed just as the tunes of ‘Don’t Want You Back’ began to play.
-Later in the show-
“Are you ready babe?” Kevin asked Stephanie as he situated himself on the large white piano, which was going to rise from the stage.
“Yeah, how do I look?” Stephanie asked nervously fixing the straps of her ankle length light pink dress that had a knee-length slit up the left side of her leg. Her hair was up in a fancy do with curls and glitter everywhere.
“You look great.” Kevin smiled.
“Like wise.” Stephanie winked. Kevin was wearing a pair of white slacks and a tight turtle neck sweater.
“Good luck.” Kevin hollered before he was being lifted up upon the stage. Starting his piano solo, screams could be heard through out the arena. Just as him and Mindi finished their solos Kevin looked over and saw her as she slowly walked onto the stage singing.
“If there were no words, no way to speak, I would still hear you. If there were no tears, no way to feel inside, I'd still feel for you.” Stephanie sang walking towards Kevin. Winking at him she stood next to the piano picking up the pink tipped rose and smelling it lightly.
“And even if the sun refused to shine, even if romance ran out of rhyme, You would still have my heart until the end of time, You're all I need, my love, my valentine.” They sang together their voices in total sync looking into each other’s eyes.
“All of my life, I have been waiting for all you give to me. You've opened my eyes and shown me how to love unselfishly.” Kevin sang standing from the piano and taking Stephanie’s hand walking down away from the piano as it was lifted away.
“I've dreamed of this a thousand times before…” Stephanie trailed off as Kevin looked at her lovingly.
“But in my dreams I couldn't love you more…” Kevin sang deeply wrapping his arm around her waist pulling her close staring deep into her dark brown eyes.
“I will give you my heart until the end of time you're all I need, my love, my valentine.” They sang together again. After that, a piano solo came on as Stephanie and Kevin just swayed together, closely.
“And even if the sun refused to shine.” Stephanie sang powerfully.
“Even if romance ran out of rhyme you would still have my heart until the end of time.”
“'Cause all I need is you, my valentine.” Stephanie sang quietly then a small pause came in the music and Kevin trailed off.
“You're all I need, my love...”
Together, “My valentine.” Loud applause’s and ‘awws’ could be heard from the audience.
“Thank you.” Kevin said into his mike as him and Stephanie bowed. Heading off the stage quickly a very slow, seductive rhythm began to play as Nick and Lisa were lifted up in the middle part.
“I need you…I want you…oh baby what can you do…” Lisa sang sexily dressed in a black floor length wrap skirt, and a black leather halter top covered by a sheer see-through, long sleeved shirt. Her brown hair was up in a playful ponytail and make up done dark. Nick who was behind her was wearing black leather pants and a black wife beater that showed off his tattoos. Moving sexily against Nick as his hands ran up and down her hips Lisa went on, “…cause I want you…to bring it all to me.” She smiled walking away from Nick causing him to rip off her wrap skirt to reveal a very high thigh black mini-skirt(TB: Imagine that skirt Christina Aguluara wore on Saterday Night Live) and knee length leather boots. At first everyone was in shock as Lisa walked around the stage singing leaving Nick on the center stage in a mock shock.
“There you are. Lookin' as fine as can be, in your fancy car I can tell your lookin' at me. Whatcha wanna do? Are you just gonna sit there and stare? Baby talk to me, tell me what's on your mind baby oh…” Lisa sang pointing to Nick and gyrating her hips around. Motioning with her index finger for him to come to her, Nick admittedly came like a lovesick puppy dog following behind her.
“Oh Baby bring it all to me, but I don't need no fancy cars or diamond rings. Oh Baby bring it all to me, baby your time, your love, your space, your energy. Oh baby bring it all to me. But I don't need no fancy cars or diamond rings, oh baby bring it all to me, Baby your time, your love, your space, your energy.” She sang to him running her hand down his chest then pushing him away as she went on around the stage dancing and singing.
“Baby what's the deal? Would I be to forward if I told you how I feel? That's just the way I do my thang. I'm so for real, are you feelin' my Tim's, my Baggy Jeans, my Thug appeal. Do you like it when a man can keep it real ohhhh.” Nick sang running up behind Lisa and turning her around as he walked in circles around her.
“Oh Baby bring it all to me, but I don't need no fancy cars or diamond rings. Oh Baby bring it all to me, baby your time, your love, your space, your energy. Oh baby bring it all to me. But I don't need no fancy cars or diamond rings, oh baby bring it all to me, Baby your time, your love, your space, your energy.”
“Oh I'll put my pride to the side. Just to tell you how good you make me feel inside…” Lisa smiled taking a hold of Nick’s hand and pulling him close to her.
“There's not a single question that we can't make this right, cuz it's you I need, everyday and night oh…” Nick grinned as they began to grind together looking straight into each others eyes. Laughs and giggles could be heard as Nick and Lisa gave the crowd a good sight and cute little routine. Finishing the last chorus Nick and Lisa bowed and ran off the stage.
The lights went down again and the music to ‘This I Promise you’ started up.
“Ohh ohhhhhhh…” A.J’s raspy voice started as he rose from the middle of the stage all lights on him. He was decked out in a black Armoni suit and a black hat that was tilted to the side, and for this occasion he had no sunglasses on, knowing that Theresa adored his eyes. “When visions around you, bring tears to your eyes, and all that surrounds you, are secrets and lies. I'll be your strength, I’ll give you hope, keeping your faith when it's gone, the one you should call, is standing here all alone...” A.J sang professionally turning around to witness Theresa slowly walk upon the stage. She was dressed in a knee-length black spaghetti-strap dress that had diamond sequences on it so that every time the light would hit her she’d shine. Her hair was down and spiral curls on the ends.
“And I will take, you in my arms, and hold you right where you belong.” They sang together as Theresa finally made up to where A.J was standing.
“Till the day my life is through…This I promise you, this I promise you.” A.J sang softly running his hand over Theresa’s cheek. Theresa turned away from him and began to sing her part.
“I've loved you forever, in lifetimes before, and I promise you never...will you hurt anymore…” Theresa sang powerfully her voice rising along with the music. She felt A.J place a hand on her hip and begin to pull her closer.
She didn’t push him away.
“I give you my word, I give you my heart, this is a battle we've won. And with this vow, forever has now begun...”
“Just close your eyes. Each loving day I know this feeling won't go away…” A.J sang by himself as Theresa did the echo vocals of the song.
“Till the day my life is through, this I promise you, ooh…I promise you…” She sang sweetly running her hand over A.J’s shoulder, while smiling at him.
“Over and over I fall, when I hear you call, without you in my life baby, I just wouldn't be living at all...” Theresa sang strongly as A.J took a hold of her hand and watched her intently as she sang the words with all her heart. After she finish that the music solo came on and A.J pulled her close and began to sway with her. Theresa wrapped her arms around his neck and held him close finally realizing her true feeling for him.
“And I will take, you in my arms, and hold you right where you belong. Till the day my life is through, this I promise you baby…” They both sang again still holding on to one another. The love was totally visible for everyone to see, and everyone did. “Just close your eyes, each loving day I know this feeling won't go away, every word I say is true. This I promise you.”
“And every word I say is true, this I promise you ooh, I promise you...” A.J sang into Theresa’s ear along with the mike. And as the music was going to an end A.J stood straight up taking Theresa’s hand and placing it over his heart he whispered into the microphone, “I love you.”
