“Yeah, A.J?”
“Yeah. Hey how are you?” A.J asked nicely as he poured himself a glass of coke.
“Oh wow, I’m great. How are you?” Amanda answered.
“I’m good. What have you been up too? It’s been like forever.” A.J smiled into the phone, it was nice talking to her.
“Nothing much here, just recording here and there. Oh hey, I heard about you and Theresa. Congratulations.” Amanda said.
“Who hasn’t.” A.J chuckled a bit. “But thanks. So what are you doing today?”
“Um…probably going over to see mom and stop at the studio and see if they need me.” Amanda replied. “You?”
“Cool. Me, I gotta pick Theresa up later and were going to go with Nick to get a tattoo.”
“Another one?” Amanda laughed.
“Yeah.”
“Hey, I’m sorry.” Amanda whispered.
“For what?” A.J questioned.
“For leaving the way I did.”
“Amanda, I understand about the way you were filling that day. You don’t need to apologize honestly.” A.J sighed.
“But still…”
“Don’t worry about it. You were upset.”
“Ok, I give.” Amanda laughed.
“There now see.” A.J chuckled a bit. After their laughing died down there was silence on the line obviously not knowing what to say to each other.
“Oh hey, I’m heard about you and Theresa’s performance. I even watched it, it’s was really nice.”
“Thanks. Where did you watch it at?” A.J asked standing from the couch and walking into the kitchen to grab a can of soda from the refrigerator.
“Oh babe, trust me I think everyone watched it. It was all over MTV.” Amanda replied.
“Oh wow really?” A.J said opening the can and taking a drink.
“Yeah.”
“Well that’s what Donna was telling us too. We done got the whole lecture about our image.”
“I can see it.” Amanda giggled. “Hey J, I’ve gotta get going. I’m supposed to be meeting this guy at the movies tonight. Talk with ya later?”
“Yeah sure.” A.J nodded.
“Ok then, bye.”
“Bye.” A.J said before clicking the off button the wireless phone and placing it back on its cradle.
-At the studio-
“Ok girls, that’s all we’ll be doing today.” RJ said as he rewound the songs that they had recorded earlier that day.
“Cool.” Theresa smiled standing up and stretching her arms above her head and grabbing her purse from the lazy black leather couch.
“Well we better get going, Lisa and I have shopping to do.” Stephanie said.
“Ok girls, I’ll see you guy’s next week ok?” Donna asked from her seat.
“Sure.” Lisa nodded as the three girls waved ‘bye’ and left the building and headed for the apartment.
“Ok so here’s the plan.” Stephanie said as she pulled out onto the interstate. “We take Theresa home, drop her off, then Lisa and I are going to head out to get some groceries.”
“Ok.” Lisa nodded. “I’ll be sure to get ya a lot of suckers, Theresa.”
“Cool.” Theresa smiled. “You guys know what?” “Huh?” Stephanie and Lisa said in unison.
“I think I might get a tattoo today.” Theresa said nonchalantly.
“Are you serious?” Stephanie nearly freaked.
“Yeah.” Theresa nodded.
“Oh and this is coming from a girl that’s afraid of needles?” Lisa giggled lightly.
“HEY! I want a change ok. Sooorrryyy.” Theresa wined.
“Ok, ok, girl it’s your body. You’re aloud to do what you please.” Stephanie gave in. Then added, “But you know Donna will freak.”
“Yeah, yeah. I’ll deal with her later.” Theresa rolled her eyes just as they pulled into the parking lot of their apartment building.
“Bye Theresa.” Stephanie waved as Theresa climbed out of the car.
“Later, I’ll see you guys later.” Theresa waved back at her two best friends and headed up the stairs to their apartment.
-Later-
Knocking on the front door, A.J heard a faint come in and entered the apartment.
“Babe?” He hollered walking further into the warm colored living room.
“I’m in my room!” A.J heard Theresa call. Walking down the hall that was covered in many pictures of the girls, their families and them and their managers, he finally came to a door that was wide open, he walked in to see Theresa sitting on her leopard print bed tying her white K-Swiss.
“Awesome room.” A.J compliment looking around. Her walls where white with dark brown carpet, her queen-size bed was set in the middle of the large room. On one side of the bed sat a nightstand with a black lamp and a furry leopard print phone. A white vanity covered with make up, hair brushes and perfumes, sat on the left side of the room next to the window that over looked a lake. A large dresser set against the wall not far from her vanity, and on it was a mix of candles, pictures and flower vases. Across from her bed sat a large entertainment center, which held a 20’ TV, DVD player, 5 disc changing stereo system and a shelf full of many DVD movies. On the right side of her room had a body length mirror and a leopard print beanbag next to it. Then he noticed a cracked door that had a picture of baby panda’s on it.
“You like it?” Theresa asked out of the blue.
“Did you design it yourself?” A.J questioned.
“Yeah, it’s basically all of my stuff from home. Oh hey look at this.” Theresa squealed taking his hand and leading him to the cracked door. Pulling it open, Theresa revealed a large walk in closet covered with lots of clothes, shoes, and shoe boxes that read ‘Do not enter’. Then there was another door as soon as they walked in. Turning the knob, Theresa pushed open the door to reveal another room. “Isn’t that cool?”
“That’s neat.” A.J chuckled. The room almost looked the same as Theresa’s bedroom. The walls where white, covered with pictures of her family. The carpet was dark brown, and in the corner contained a large computer desk that held a blue apple computer, along with printer and scanner. And against one wall, had yet another 20’ TV. “Are you the only one that has a room like that?”
“Naw.” Theresa shook her head as they walked out and headed into the living room. “Steph and Lisa have a room like that too. I’d show you their rooms but I think they’d get a little mad at me.” Theresa laughed.
“Cool.”
“Ready?” Theresa asked picking up her purse off of the counter in the kitchen.
“Yeah.” A.J nodded taking her hand and walking out of the apartment then down to his black Mercedes.
-At the same time-
“Ok, first off, we need to get some milk, eggs, and cheese.” Stephanie said scanning over the list as Lisa grabbed a grocery cart.
“Yeah, and some cereal, meat, noodles, ice cream, cake and lots of other junk foods.” Lisa smiled placing hers and Stephanie’s purse into the smaller part.
“Lisa! We can’t be getting all of this junk food because we have bodies we have to maintain slim and healthy.” Stephanie protested as they started down the aisles.
“Alright, alright.” Lisa nodded crossing her fingers behind her back. “Aren’t some people going to see us?”
“Dunno. Just keep your hat down low and her glasses on, ok?” Stephanie replied picking up a gallon of 2% milk.
“Ok.” Lisa nodded resting her elbows on the cart bar and continuing to push cart.
“Excuse me.” A small voice said from behind Stephanie. Turning around Stephanie saw a short little girl with strawberry blond hair pulled into two pigtails that hung on each side of her face, her hazel eyes shined brightly and her little brown freckles covered her cheeks.
“Yes?” Stephanie replied smiling.
“Could you and her…” She trailed off pointing to Lisa, “sign this?” She finished holding out a sheet of paper and a pen.
“Sure.” Stephanie nodded taking the paper and pen from the girl and signing her name on it then handing it to Lisa.
“Thank you.” The little girl smiled as Lisa gave her the paper back. Turning to leave, she stopped and turned back to the two. “Where’s the pretty blond?”
“Oh she couldn’t be here, I’m sorry.” Lisa replied.
“Its cool.” The girl smiled just as an elder lady yelled for her.
“Caitlyn, sweetie come on.”
“Coming mommy.” The girl called back sticking the paper in her pocket along with the pen and turned bouncing off towards her mother.
“Aww, she was so cute.” Stephanie cooed her eyes brighter than earlier.
