Kevin heard Stephanie’s sassy voice sing to the up beat tempo. “I miss you…” He whispered his eyes still transfixed on her window as the song floated through one ear and out the other.
-At the same time-
“A.J, isn’t that Kevin’s truck?” Theresa wondered noticing the blue vehicle sitting in the parking lot in front of her apartment.
“Hey it is.” A.J cocked a brow. “Wonder why he’s here.”
“Hopefully to make up with Stephy.” Theresa smiled at the thought. It would be nice to see her friend happy again. Pulling over to the side, A.J turned off the engine of his Expedition and climbed out along with his girlfriend. “I’m gonna go see what he’s up to.” Before A.J could say anything, Theresa was already up to the tail end of the truck. “Hi Kev!” She smiled sweetly.
“Ahh! Theresa! Don’t do that!” Kevin hollered clutching his chest.
“Sorry. Are you here to talk to Steph?” Theresa grinned happily her hands together in hope. “I’m sure she’d be happy to see you.”
“I don’t know…”
“Come on Kevin.” Theresa urged noticing A.J coming up behind her.
“Is this all your working?” Kevin smirked shaking his head at his friend.
“Nope. She’s just trying to help out her friends.” A.J winked as he watched Theresa open the truck door and pull Kevin from his seat.
-In Stephanie’s room-
Brushing her black locks, Stephanie sighed into the mirror as ‘Again’ by Janet Jackson came on her radio.
“How can I be strong I've asked myself, time and time I've said, that I'll never fall in love with you. Again.” Stephanie sang quietly walking towards her dresser and pulling out her silk black PJ pants and slipping them on after she removed her jeans. “A wounded heart you gave, my soul you took away, good intentions you had many, I know you did, I come from a place that hurts, God knows how I’ve cried, and I never want to return, never fall again, making love to you felt so good and oh so right.”
“I always thought you had a beautiful voice.” A baritone voice muttered from her bedroom door. Dropping the tank top she had pulled from her dresser, Stephanie gasped in shock as she turned around to see Kevin, the man she loved, standing in the doorway of her room. “Hi Stephanie.”
“What are you doing here?” She whispered lightly the tears that she had cried all out stung her eyes to be released.
“I came here to talk to you. As you’ve noticed I hadn’t had enough guts to talk to you on the phone.” Kevin stated noticing Stephanie cock her head to the side.
“That was you that…”
“Yep.” Kevin nodded walking towards her. “I love you Stephanie.”
“Kevin what do you want?” Stephanie hissed realizing after her shock what he had done to her weeks ago. “We broke up. It’s over remember?” “I don’t want to remember. What I did was wrong and I shouldn’t have did that.” Kevin frowned shaking his head.
“If it was so bad Kev, then why did you do it?” Stephanie whispered as his body proceeded closer to hers.
“I did it for you…so you can make it big like us…” Kevin trailed off his arms slowly making their way about her waist.
“What are you talking about?” She whispered inhaling sharply feeling his body touch hers.
“I did it for your group. It’s a long story, I don’t want to talk about it. I just want…to…kiss you.” Kevin said slowly as he gently closed his eyes and kissed her lips lightly making her sigh in content. Grasping on to what was going on, Stephanie quickly pushed him away just as ‘I Wanna Know’ by Joe came onto her stereo.

“Can you feel that? That’s my heart Stephanie Christine Lindsey…and its breaking as we speak.” Kevin cried the tears he had been trying to hold back finally released themselves free.

Stephanie cried at the sight of the man she loved in front of her crying out in sympathy trying to get her back. Then she heard his voice sing along with the mans on the radio.

“Kevin…” Stephanie cut herself off as she grabbed him around the neck and pulled his head towards his kissing his lips passionately finally letting all of the love she felt inside go. Pulling away, Kevin started at the raven-haired beauty and smirked.

“I love you too Kevin Scott.” Stephanie smiled then turned serious. “And DON’T YOU EVER…do that to me again.”
“I wont, I promise.” Kevin nodded kissing her again as the two headed for the bed gently tearing off each other’s clothes and discarding them upon the floor.
