Chapter 65: February 12

“Hey guys I need to talk to you.” Lisa said walking back into the TV area of their tour bus.

“What about?” Theresa wondered putting down the YM magazine that she had been reading.

“Well it’s about me.” Lisa stated.

“Okay.” Theresa nodded looking at her.

“Me and Nick have been going out.” She blurted out.

“Oh! We already knew that.” Stephanie laughed lightly. Lisa looked at her then over at Theresa who was nodding quickly.

“Yep.”

“How did y’all know?” Lisa wondered.

“Girl, you two use to not get along and then all of a sudden BAM yow two are like best friends.” Theresa exclaimed smiling.

“Was it that obvious?” Lisa asked.

“Yeah.” Theresa and Stephanie nodded.

Twisting her legs into Indian style, “So did everyone have a good time?” Theresa questioned.

“I did.” Stephanie gushed.

“Everyone knows you did.” Theresa frowned. “I think the whole hotel building heard y’all.”

“Oh my gosh really?” She blushed. Theresa just nodded.

“Mine was good. I got to be with Nick.” Lisa said. “What about you Trease? Lose it yet?”

“No!” Theresa laughed throwing a pillow at her. “But me and A.J got in an argument.”

“Are you serious?” Stephanie stated.

“Yeah. Its not like we don’t have fights like normal couples.” Theresa confirmed.

“What was it over?”

“I don’t even know. We just went off on each other.” Theresa sighed. “I really think that this relationship is going down the hill.”

“Don’t say that.” Stephanie comforted.

“Yeah, just give him some and he’ll be fine.” Lisa smirked but frowned when another pillow hit her. “Sorry.”

“I can’t just give in like that.” Theresa laughed.

-With the guys-

“Me and Lisa are together.” Nick said nonchalantly as the stylist worked on his hair.

“Oh wow really?” Brian smiled. “Bout damn time.”

“Hell yeah.” Howie and Kevin agreed.

“When did y’all hook up?” A.J questioned smoothing out his goatee.

“Um…back at A.J’s birthday party.” Nick blushed when all five of the guys looked back at him. “What?”

“Wasn’t you dating Abby then?” Brian assumed.

“Yeah. But me and Lisa had a VERY long talk. We wanted to be together the whole time.” Nick stated. “I love her…I always have.”

“Aww…Nicker’s is in love.” A.J awed. “That’s all we need is the teen idol settling down.”

“I wouldn't talk Bone…the rebels gone soft.” Howie chuckled tying up his tennis shoes.

“Not quite.” A.J smirked thinking back to his and Abby’s encounters. “I’m not really ready to settle down totally.”

“By the way you and Theresa act…it seems like you two are way past the marriage and at the honeymoon.” Nick informed looking at him.

“That’s a lie…when your on a honeymoon you have sex…in this relationship I’m left out of that important part.”

“J sex is not all that’s in a relationship.” Kevin cut in.

“Don’t even tell me that Kevin, you and Stephanie are in the honeymoon before the marriage.” A.J laughed.

“Hey she’s just so damn erotically appealing.” Kevin groaned throwing on a T-shirt.

“Well what do you think Theresa is?” A.J smiled winking at him.

“A.J does have a point.” Howie chimed in.

“D, you better not be zeroing in on my women now.” A.J chuckled playfully punching him in the arm. “But guys, look at this, I’m planning on giving it to Theresa…” A.J trailed off retrieving a small ring box from his bag and showing it to the guys.

“Uh oh, go Bone.” Brian smiled.

-February 12-

“Where the hell is he?” Theresa sighed turning off her cell phone and throwing it into her purse.

“What’s wrong Theresa?” Lisa asked combing out her hair then taking off her stage outfit.

“It’s my fucking birthday and my own boyfriend doesn’t even call to say, oh hey baby happy birthday.” Theresa frowned.

“Theresa chill, I’m sure he knows.” Lisa informed pulling on some jogging pants and tank top with a Kentucky Wildcats sweater over that.

“Errr….”

“Girls the bus is here.” Stephanie stated sticking her head into changing room. Leaving the arena the girls all boarded the bus and headed for their hotel. The ride was somewhat quiet yet annoying with Theresa’s complaining.

“Trease, I’m sure he’ll call you okay.” Lisa reassured as Theresa stormed off the bus and into the hotel.

“Whatever!” She screamed walking into the elevators. Unlocking her door, she marched in and flipped on the light while slinging her bag onto the bed. “He is such a…” looking up she noticed at her room was covered in roses of all colors, “…sweetheart.” Smiling widely she walked over to a little box with a note on it and picked it up.

Baby,

Happy Birthday. I wish I were there with you to celebrate you becoming the big 1-9 and give you 19 kisses. But instead I sent you 19 dozen roses I hope that makes up for me not being there. I love you sweetie and I’ve you a present, its on the table. That’s right its that little box, so open it before you further read this letter.

Smiling at the note, she laid it down before reaching for the box. Taking it into her hands, she slowly opened it to reveal a princess cut diamond ring with ‘I Promise You’ written on the inside. Slipping it onto her finger, Theresa cried while picking the letter back up.

Don’t cry, honey this ring is a promise ring. I promise to give you my life and my heart. I love you with all my life, and I promise to make you my wife one-day. You are my perfect match and nothing or nobody can come into between us. Remember that night we sang together in Lexington? Baby, every word I sang to you came straight from my heart. Now put down this letter and call me now. I want to talk to you.

Love always,

Alex

Running towards the phone, she quickly picked it up and dialed A.J’s cell number with tears streaming down her cheeks.

“Hello baby.” He knew she was calling.

“I love you so much.” She blurted out with a sob.

“Oh honey don’t cry, I wasn’t meaning for it to make you cry.” A.J soothed.

“I love the ring. At first I was mad cause you hadn’t called me all day but then I came into my room and found what you did.” She rambled on.

“Do you like the ring?”

“Yes, I love it. You spoil me.” Theresa giggled gazing at the diamond.

“You do realize that it is not an engagement ring…yet.”

“Yet?” Theresa snickered.

“Baby, you know I wanna be with you for the rest of my life. And that ring is a statement of my promise to you.” A.J explained.

“Alex, I promise to never take it off. I love you so much.” Theresa sighed.

“I love you even more.”

-The next day –

“Theresa, did you enjoy your birthday present?” Lisa smiled as her friend entered their bus.

“Oh my God, did y’all know about it?” Theresa giggled showing them her ring.

“Yes we did.” Stephanie nodded taking Theresa’s hand in hers and examining the diamond. “Nice. So when’s the wedding?” She joked.

“Were not getting married yet. It’s just a promise ring.” Theresa sighed.

“It’s very nice. What did you do with all of the roses?” Lisa wondered. Theresa just nodded her head towards the bus door just as three hotel employees entered the bus carrying the roses.

“Oh great now it’s gonna smell like a garden in here.” Stephanie rolled her eyes.

-At the same time-

Entering their hotel lobby, Kevin and A.J’s bodyguards watched intently for any psycho fan as the two went and checked their messages.

“Is there any messages for Alex Dean?” A.J questioned giving the receptionist his fake name.

“No sir.” Said the elderly man as he looked through the notes.

“Thanks.”

“Is there any for a Jerald Thompson?” Kevin asked.

“Yes there is one.” He handed the message to Kevin then went back to his paper work.

“Probably from Steph.” A.J winked picking up his golf clubs as the four headed for the elevator.

“Probably.”

“Want me to carry those for ya J?” Q, A.J’s body guard, asked.

“Nah, if a psycho fan reaches me first before you, I’ll have something to knock them out with.” A.J joked. Everyone just laughed.

“I hope it isn’t anything bad.” Kevin muttered opening and reading the message.

Kevy,

Hey long time no hear from. What have you been up to? Me just thinking of you. Why don’t you give me a call so we can go somewhere and chat. My number is 555-6920. Love ya bunches.

~Kristen

Gawking down at the letter Kevin frowned and looked over at A.J.

“What is it man?” A.J asked worried.

“Kristen. She’s at it again. And just when I thought she was over me.” Kevin sighed stuffing the note into his pocket then retrieving his card to unlock his room door.

“Just don’t let Steph know.” A.J informed unlocking his door.

“I know.” Kevin nodded while entering his room. “Nice golf game A.J, I’ll see ya at 5.”

“Okay.” With that they both entered their rooms then shut the doors.
