I knew to go to Heaven, a change must be made, because that cross on calvary made me so afraid. I knew I was a sinner, and Jesus was the only way, my Savior hung upon one cross, on that awful day.
I knew that God was watching, because this was in his plan. He sacrificed his only son for the sins of every man.
They placed him in a lonley tomb, but on that third and final day, nothing could ever stop Him, the stone was rolled away.
He returned to Heaven and sits upon His throne. He is now waiting to welcome His children home. I cannot repay Him but I will do my best. He gave to me His spirit and I have passed the test.
I do not know how long I'll live But while I'm here, Lord, let me give Some comfort to help someone in need A smile or laugh,a kind word or deed.
And let me do what ever I can to ease things for my fellow man. I want nothing, but to do my part to "lift" a tired or weary heart.
To change friends' frowns to smiles again. Then I will not have lived in vain. I'll not care how long I'll live If I can give ~ and give ~ and give.
