Chapter 1~ Memories
"Brian, baby, what do you think about these?" I asked, turning around. I had a huge binder in my arms, and wanted to show my fiancee of five months the invitations I had picked out. "Brian!" I said, sighing. He snapped into reality and looked at me. He smiled and walked over to where I was standing. He peered over my shoulder and looked at the white invitations.
"They're beautiful. If they are what you want, then you'll have them," he said, kissing my nose.
"Baby, you're too good to me," I said, resting my forehead on his. Just then we heard someone clear their throat, so we separated and I looked towards the door. The woman who owned the store we were in had a smile on her face. "Ms. Carson, Mr. Littrell have you decided on the invitations you would like?" she asked. "Yes, I think we'll take these," I answered, showing her the ones we had picked out. "Wonderful! How many will you need?" she asked, writing something down on some paper. "Oh, I would say about 300," I said looking at Brian. He nodded, and the lady looked at me blankly. "Brian's job demands he meet a lot of people, and of those people he has made many close friends," I explained. The woman smiled and continued writing. She stepped behind a cash register, punched a few buttons and wrote some more down. "Would you care to pay for this now or have us bill you?" she asked. Brian took out his wallet and pulled out a credit card. "We'll pay now," he said, smiling at me. "Alright. That will be 989.25," the woman said. Bran didn't bat an eyelash, and handed the card over. She rung everything up, had Brian sign a reciept, and told us our invitations would be sent to us within twenty business days, since they had to be printed up. Brian and I thanked her and walked out of the store into the warm Florida sun. "Brian, you are making all of this a dream come true," I said, grasping his hand and resting my head against his arm. "Kennedy, you deserve it. Five months ago when I propsed to you, I knew you were the one for me, and I still know, and it will never change," he whispered, taking my head in his left hand. He kissed me as passionately as he did the first time we kissed, two years ago. I knew he was the one for me to... _______________________________________________________________________________
"Kennedy Hayden Carson, I have loved you since the day I met you. Your smile brightens my day, and your love keeps me strong. I want to spend the rest of my life with you, and I want you to be my wife. Will you marry me?" Brian asked. I burst into tears. I could tell he was nervous. His hands were shaking, my hands were saking. I smiled and nodded. He smiled back, slipped the diamond ring on my finger, got up off the ground and hugged me. Everyone burst into cheers and claps. We were at the JIVE Christmas party, so the BSB, Britney Spears, and about thirty other singers/bands along with managers, execs, producers, and songwriters were present. That was the happiest day of my life. "Ken? Ken?! Kennedy!" Brian said loudly to me. I whipped my head around to look at him. "What are you thinkin about?" Brian asked, returning his gaze to the road. I smiled, contently watching him. He glancecd back at me and smiled back. "What?" he asked, his southern accent breaking through. "Nothing. Just wonderful memories I've had," I answered, taking his hand in mine. "Well, we are going to have a lot of wonderful memories, you know," he said, kissing my hand. "Yeah, baby, I know."
