Chapter 15~ Wake Up!
"Well where could she be?" Nick asked worridly. Brian put his hand on Nick's shoulder. "We'll just go look for her. She has to be here somewhere," Kevin said. Everyone agreed, split up and began searching. Michelle and Caitlyn had decided to look together, since they were so direction disoriented and they knew they would get lost without each other. Kevin made his way back to the stage. Nick and Brian began backstage, AJ, Howie, and Cristina began looking out in the lobby area of the arena. Katie found Michelle and Caitlyn about ten minutes later and kept going with them. "What about outside? That's where she said she was going!" Katie said. "But the door is closed. She would be locked out, and probably banging on it to get back in," Michelle said. "Well, let's just look," Caitlyn said. They walked down the hallway to the door, which Katie opened. "Katie, hold the door open while we look around," Caitlyn said. Katie stood there, waiting. "Well, she's not out here," Michelle said. Just then she noticed some smoke coming from behind the dumpster a few feet away. She motioned for Caitlyn to follow her and then put her index finger to her mouth to tell Caitlyn to be quiet. Michelle crept around the back of the dumpster and screamed as loud as she had ever screamed before. _________________________________________________________________________________
"What was that?" Nick said, looking at Brian. Brian shrugged his shoulders. They ran out of the backstage area and into the hallway. They saw Katie holding the door open at the end, and they ran to her, knowing the scream they heard came from that direction. "Brian, get a chair to hold this door open!" Katie yelled. He ducked into a room, grabbed a folding chair and continued running down the hall. When he ad Nick got to the door Brian opened the chair and leaned in in front of the door. He, Nick and Katie all rushed over to the dumpster, where Michelle was crying, clinging onto a crying Caitlyn. "Oh my God," Nick said, looking at the scene in front of him. What he saw almost made him throw up. His girlfriend's body, naked, bruised and bleeding, lay before him, sprawled out. Three feet away from her were her clothes, burning. Nick took one step forward. "Lorie?" he choked out. He took a few more steps and noticed a piece of paper on the ground next to Lorie's body. He picked it up. "Hey, how are you! I'm watching you, just to let you know. Damn, this girl is a fine rider, Nick. Just thought you should know. Or do you know already? Haha, it doesn't matter, I got what I wanted! She deserved what she got, you know. I hope she learned her lesson." it read. Nick threw the note at Brian and bent down to Lorie. "Lorie, Lorie baby, wake up. Please, wake up!" he said, tears straming down his face. Brian tried to pull him away to go call 911, but Nick pushed him away. "Lorie! Lorie, baby, please! I have to get you out of here!" Nick said, picking her up. He carried her into the building and to the dressing room. He didn't know what to do. Michelle, Katie, Caitlyn and Brian were right behind him.
