Chapter 45
~Saturday~
"Hey, Toni, is Kristen there?" AJ asked over the phone.
"No! Especially since you're calling!" Toni yelled at him.
"Okay, is she mad at me?" AJ asked confused.
"No, I am."
"What did I do?"
"Well, ever since you and Kristen started dating I have not gotten one good night's sleep. She keeps me up all night long with her happy self and it's driving me insane. Around midnight every single night she blares that damn song you sang to her. She's too happy. She's back to her normal, crazy, self who will do anything."
"Isn't that a good thing?" AJ asked confused.
"It is if you don't have to live with her."
"Hey, at least she's not moving back home. And I like her crazy self. I need to date someone who's a little crazy." Just then Kristen walked into the apartment wearing a short shirt that showed a pierced belly button.
"What the hell is that!?!" Toni yelled
"What is what?" Kristen asked.
"That!" Toni yelled pointing to her stomach.
"It's a belly button ring. What does it look like?"
"Is that Kristen? Let me talk to her," AJ said.
"Oh I don't think so," Toni said hanging up the phone. "When did you get that pierced?"
"About an hour ago. It hurt like a bitch. Now if you'll excuse me I have to go to the bathroom," Kristen said leaving towards the bathroom with a bag. She came out of the bathroom about an hour and a half later with blonde streaks in her hair. Her normal hair color was a dirty blonde and the streaks really stood out. She went into the kitchen to find Toni who dropped her glass shattering it to the floor when she saw her hair. "Do you like?"
"What the hell did you do? First you come home with your belly button pierced. Then you go to the bathroom and come out with blonde streaks in your hair. Do you have any tattoos that you want to show me now?"
"God, Toni, you sound like my mother. I've always wanted to get my belly button pierced and I decided I wanted to do something different to my hair."
"I think you've been hanging around AJ too long. Don't you dare start dying your hair a million different colors like he does."
"Oh, give me a break. We've been going out for only like five days."
"Yeah and you're driving me insane already."
"Do you think AJ will like it?"
"Probably."
"Cool, I'll go see if he wants to go out tonight."
"Hello, did you like totally forget about the concert tonight?"
"Oh shit. I guess I did. When does it start?"
"In like three hours. Where has your brain been lately?" Toni asked as there was a knock on the door. She opened it to see Nick whom she greeted with a kiss.
"Excuse me. Did you forget I was in the room or something? I don't want to see you two making out," Kristen said interrupting them.
"Um, no Kristen, I think you have things mixed up," Nick said. "It's me and Toni who have been having to watch you and AJ make out every second of the day for the last couple of days."
"Hey that ain't my fault."
"Yeah right. Anyways I stopped by to show you two wonderful ladies these," Nick said holding up two backstage passes.
"You got us backstage passes for the concert tonight!" Kristen yelled running up to Nick and jerking them out of his hands.
"See, I don't even get a thank you. Her and AJ were made for each other. And what the hell did you do to your hair and stomach?"
"Don't ask. She's gone whacko. Thank you for the passes," Toni said giving Nick a kiss again. "Now I hate to be rude but leave cause I only have about two and a half hours to get ready and get to the concert."
"Oh yeah that's right, you have to look good for Britney Spears' dancers. Who were they again? BJ and Terry?"
"TJ and Jerry, now go and thank you," Toni said trying to shove him out of the apartment.
"Before I go, I'm having a pool party at my house on Friday so make sure you come. And if you're curious I like two pieces," Nick said with a smile.
"Get out," Toni said annoyed shoving him out and closing the door behind him. She went and got ready and about an hour later went into Kristen's room to see her changed into another short shirt with and open vest over it and a skirt. "Please tell me you're not wearing that shirt."
"Why not? I always wear stuff like this."
"Yeah well you just got piercings done to your body and it looks horrible since it's all red so wear a longer shirt and hurry up so we can leave." They got to the House of Blues about forty-five minutes before the concert started and they made their way up to the front row since it was all standing. Youngstown came out and performed five songs before the curtain closed and music started blaring from speakers as everyone danced.
"Care to dance with me?" a guy came up and asked Kristen.
"No, she doesn't. She's taken," Toni said rudely before Kristen could answer. The guy looked at Kristen strangely as a huge smile formed on his face which scared the shit out of her. "Which means you can go away now," Toni said when the guy continued to stand there smiling. "Get the fuck away!" Toni yelled shoving him which finally made him leave. "What a freak." Kristen didn't say anything about it just ignored it when L. F. O. came out on stage. Kristen and Toni enjoyed themselves singing and dancing to "Summer Girls" and the other two songs they sang. After that Britney Spears came out and Kristen turned to leave. "You aren't going any where girl. Remember TJ and Jerry?" Kristen turned back towards the stage to see TJ dancing right in front of them.
"My God that boy is too hot for me," Kristen said staring straight up at him.
"AJ, remember him?" Toni whispered in her ear.
"Yeah but this guy is still too hot for me." Britney Spears began singing her last song "Baby One More Time" when she shimmied right in front of Kristen and Toni. "Oh God please kill me now! If she ever does that again I think I will have to take some pins and deflate her chest! I'm disgusted!" Kristen screamed.
"I think that makes two of us," Toni said as the song ended. "Come on, let's go backstage," Toni said dragging Kristen through the crowd. As soon as they entered the door to get backstage they both ran into someone since they were standing so close. They looked up to see TJ standing in front of them checking the two of them out.
"Whoa," Kristen and Toni whispered.
"Excuse me ladies," TJ said smiling at the two of them as he passed by.
"Toni, just remember you're dating the most popular Backstreet Boy," Kristen said as they watched TJ leave.
"Okay, as long as you remember that you're dating the bad Backstreet Boy that any girl would kill to get with."
"Okay I'll try," Kristen said as they began walking around. They ran into L. F. O. and Kristen about flipped out when she saw Brad and he said hi to her.
"You definitely aren't going to make it through the night without cheating on your boy," Toni said.
"Yes, I can," Kristen said as she saw Britney Spears. "And seeing that slut just regained my confidence of making it through the night." They walked around a little bit more when Kristen heard a man talking about dance auditions for some famous singer. Kristen went up to the guy dragging Toni with her to see about the auditions.
"Excuse me. I over heard you talking and I was wondering when these auditions are?" Kristen asked.
"Monday morning. But I'm afraid that if you want to audition that it's too late," the man said.
"Why?"
"Anyone who wanted to audition had to pick up a video tape that would choreograph a dance that you would have to learn on your own. You would only have tomorrow to practice."
"I can do it. Do you have any tapes on you?"
"Sure. Come with me to my car."
"Since when do you audition to be a dancer?" Toni asked while they followed the man outside.
"Since I've gone a couple of weeks without a job and I need something to do. Why not dancing?"
"Good luck for the auditions," the man said handing Kristen the tape. After they left they decided that they would head over to McDonald's since they hadn't eaten all night long. When they got there they ran into Howie and Kevin.
"Okay, now this is weird. I thought you were the two Backstreet Boys who would rather go and try the local food? McDonald's isn't exactly local. It's worldly," Toni said sarcastically.
"We got hungry and didn't want to wait for food," Howie said. "Care to join us?"
"Of course," Toni said. They all ordered their food then sat down to eat.
"What were you two doing tonight? Did you have a hot double date with blonde twins or something?" Toni asked.
"No, all us guys went out tonight," Howie responded.
"Us guys? As in you two, Brian, AJ, and Nick?" Kristen asked. Howie nodded his head.
"Oh we see how it is. Me and Toni go out so our boyfriends just go out and have fun without us."
"I don't get it. It's okay with guys if their girlfriends go out without them but if the guy does it it's not okay. Why is that?" Kevin asked confused.
"Because we like to keep you on your toes trying to figure us out," Toni said.
"Kevin, guess what?" Kristen asked.
"What?"
"I decided that I'm going to audition to be a dancer for some famous singer."
"That's good. I've always told you that you and Cassie should become dancers."
"Yeah but she was lucky to get to be a dancer for you guys."
"Well, maybe when we start touring again you could be one of our dancers. Who is this famous singer anyway?"
"I don't know. I don't care either as long as I get it."
"What did you do to your hair?" Howie asked after he stared at her for a couple of minutes trying to figure out what was different about her.
"Howie, she went through a million changes today. I'm still waiting to see a tattoo on her," Toni said.
"What else did you do?" Howie asked.
"I got my belly button pierced," Kristen said with a smile.
"I'm sure AJ will like that one. If you did get a tattoo he would love you to death. But I don't recommend you do that for him though," Kevin said.
"You two going to that pool party my baby Nick is having on Friday?" Toni asked.
"Oh course. And this time we are keeping an eye out on your little baby," Kevin said mocking Toni. "I don't want him drinking any alcohol this time cause I don't want him to hurt you too."
"Why thank you Kevin," Toni said. They stayed at McDonald's for about half an hour longer before they all went home. When Kristen and Toni got to their apartment Kristen went in her room and immediately went to her stereo to play the song AJ recorded for her. Toni heard it blaring and she barged into her room.
"What the hell are you doing?" Kristen asked as Toni went to her stereo and took the tape out.
"I know that is the sweetest song and I know that AJ wrote it for you but if I have to hear it one more damn time I'll kill myself and I want to live!" Toni yelled.
"Fine, now can I have the tape back?"
"No! I'm not that stupid! You'll play it again. Hope you have a nice night," Toni said leaving the room with the tape. "I will kill AJ," Toni said as she went back to her room.
