Chapter 47
The next day after auditions Kristen drove over to Angel's house to find everyone there except for Nick and Toni which she was sort of thankful for. She wasn't in the mood to have recaps of seeing Nick and Toni going at it in her bed. "So how did the auditions go?" Angela asked.
"Well, I got it. I'm going to be a back up dancer," Kristen said.
"That's great! Congrats to you," Kevin said.
"Thanks."
"I told you that you could do it," AJ said giving Kristen a hug.
"Why don't you sound too happy about it?" Angela asked.
"Because I found out who this famous singer that I would be a dancer for is."
"Who?" Howie asked.
"The one and only Britney Spears."
"Ah you are so lucky! I would kill to dance on the same stage as her! Too bad she's only seventeen cause she's a fox!" Brian exclaimed.
"Excuse me? It's a damn good thing she's seventeen," Angela said glaring at Brian.
"I think you just got yourself in some major trouble, Brian," Howie said.
"I can easily get out of it," Brian said going to kiss Angela. Angela got up off the couch and went and sat down on the floor.
"Nice try but your gorgeous looks and voice only get you so far," Angela said.
"Anyways, back on the subject, are you going to do it?" Kevin asked.
"I don't know. Because if I did then I would have to pretend that I would like her but I still want to do it."
"Well, I think you should. If this is what you want to do then go for it. You shouldn't let one person keep you from doing it," Kevin explained.
"Also, you might find out that she's not that bad of a person," Howie added.
"Okay, I have a question. If this is for her tour when are you leaving and how long are you going to be gone?" AJ asked.
"We start rehearsals tomorrow and we leave in a month," Kristen said.
"How long are you going to be gone?" AJ asked again.
"Only about three months."
"Three months!" AJ said surprised.
"Well, in the middle of the tour we'll be in New York the same time you guys are for the VMA's."
"I think we need to talk," AJ whispered into Kristen's ear pulling her into another room. "You can't go," AJ said.
"Why not? Kevin's right. This is something I want to do and just because I don't like Britney Spears doesn't mean I shouldn't do it."
"I mean, you can't go. Three months is too long for you to be away."
"So you think I should just stay here to be with you is what you're saying?" Kristen asked annoyed.
"Yes, that is what I'm saying."
"AJ, I love you but stop being selfish and think about me and how much I need this," Kristen said leaving the room. She walked past the others in the living room and walked out the door slamming it behind her. AJ walked into the living and sat down a few minutes later and noticed everyone was quiet with their eyes on him.
"What?" AJ asked in an angry way.
"What did you say to her to piss her off?" Angela asked.
"I just said I didn't want her to go and she said I was being selfish," AJ said innocently.
"Let me guess, you don't want her to go because she'll be away from you?" Angela asked. AJ nodded his head slowly. "And you think you're not being selfish. There's something wrong with male kind."
"AJ, have you ever thought about how every single one of your other girlfriends felt when you went away on tour?" Kevin asked.
"Yeah it hurts them. But it's not like there's anything I can do about it. It's my job."
"Well, now the tables have turned and your girlfriend is going to go on tour and there is nothing she can do about it because it's her new job," Kevin said.
"Shit, you're right," AJ said getting up and leaving.
"What the hell is this!" Kristen yelled as she walked into her apartment to see Toni and Nick making out on the floor.
"Hey Kristen," Toni said smiling on the floor with Nick laying on top of her. Nick stood up and pulled Toni to her feet.
"I'll see you later," Nick said giving Toni a kiss.
"I don't think so," Kristen said blocking the door. "Sit your ass' down." Nick and Toni went and sat down at the kitchen table.
"About last night Kristen, I'm sorry it was my idea," Nick said.
"I don't want to hear anything about last night!" Kristen said covering her ears. "I think that we need to make some rules Toni if we are both going to be living here."
"Okay. Like what?" Toni asked.
"No having sex anywhere but your own bed." Toni started laughing at Kristen. "Okay for once please stop laughing because I'm dead serious. It's a traumatizing sight to see your two best friends gettin' jiggy with one another."
"Gettin' jiggy with one another. I like that," Nick said.
"Shut up Nick. Anyways, and no making out in the living room or any where else except your room. If me and AJ don't do it then you two can't."
"Whoa! Me and Brian saw you two making out on the kitchen floor yesterday!" Nick said.
"That doesn't count. No one was home and you two just barged in."
"Wait a sec. How does that not count? I could have barged in on you yesterday and no one was home while me and Nick were making out," Toni said.
"Yeah well, you didn't barge in on me."
"But me and Brian did," Nick said.
"Ugh! Do you two have to be so damn complicated?" Kristen asked getting up.
"I still love you!" Toni hollered to Kristen as she was walking to her room.
"Then don't have sex where I can see you!" Kristen said shutting her bedroom door.
"Wow, she sure does get worked up over stuff," Nick said.
"Don't take her seriously. She's never serious." They saw Kristen walk out of her room and open the door to Toni's room. "What are you doing in my room?" Toni hollered at her.
"I'm going to take a nap," Kristen said shutting the door.
"So why is she going into your room then?" Nick asked confused.
"She won't sleep in her bed because we had sex in it."
"Pretty good sex it was though," Nick said leaning over and kissing Toni.
"Wait, I have a question that's been bothering me," Toni said separating from Nick.
"What's that?"
"Is it true that AJ had to teach you how to hump the floor?"
"No," Nick said really fast.
"It is true isn't it?"
"No, it's not. It's just a rumor."
"Your lying!"
"Now why would I lie to you?"
"Because you're embarrassed to admit the truth."
"I will see you later Toni," Nick said getting up and giving Toni a kiss on the cheek.
"No! I want an answer!"
"Good bye Toni," Nick said walking out the door.
"Oh I see how it is," Toni said to herself. A couple of hours later there was a knock on the door. Toni answered it to see AJ on the otherside.
"Hey AJ, what's up?"
"Where's Kristen?"
"You can't even say hi to me. I feel the love."
"You're starting to sound like Kristen. You're very loved, Toni," AJ said giving her a hug. "Now where's Kristen?"
"She's in my room sleeping."
"Why isn't she in her own room."
"Long story. If you wake her up and she gets mad I told you not to bother her."
"Alright," AJ said walking into Toni's room. He walked over to the bed and saw Kristen laying there sleeping peacefully. He sat down on the bed next to her and kissed her forehead. Kristen woke up feeling someone's presence. She saw AJ and sat up in bed.
"What are you doing here?" she asked.
"I came to apologize. You were right I was being selfish."
"It's okay AJ, I forgive you. I can't be mad at you anyways."
"Well, I want to make it up to you."
"How?"
"Well, one weekend when you don't have rehearsals how about we go and take a trip to Wyoming?"
"You're taking me home!" Kristen said excitedly.
"Yeah but only one condition."
"What's that?"
"You have to come back here to Florida."
"It's a deal. Thank you so much AJ! I love you!" Kristen said jumping up and hugging him.
"Hey it's no problem. This will give you a chance to see your family and it will give us a chance to spend some time together before you leave."
"Thank you AJ," Kristen said kissing him. In the middle of their kiss Toni walked into the room.
"Whatever happened to the rules you made? You just about broke all of them right here," Toni said. Kristen couldn't help but laugh at her.
