Chapter 66
After AJ got off the phone with Kristen he grabbed his car keys and headed out the door and drove to Nick's house. When he got there instead of ringing the door bell he pounded on Nick's door until he answered it. "What is your problem?" Nick asked when he saw it was AJ.
"Get on the phone and call Toni now," AJ demanded throwing Nick his cordless phone. "You are going to make her tell you what Kristen is hiding from me."
"I'm not making her do anything. I don't need to have her mad at me. Why don't you follow your own advice and make Kristen tell you?" Nick asked letting AJ inside and closing the door behind him.
"I already talked to her and she started crying on the phone which means whatever she is hiding will probably destroy us."
"Yeah or probably because you were probably yelling at her," Nick said as his phone rang. He answered it to hear Toni on the other end freaking out. "Toni, you need to calm down, what is wrong?" he asked.
"Kristen is what is wrong Nick! She is going to break up with AJ! After she got done talking to him she flew out of the house in tears!" Toni yelled at him.
"Now why would she do that?"
"I don't know, she probably was crying and stuff because of something AJ said."
"No, the other part," Nick said not wanting to say anything about Kristen breaking up with AJ since AJ was in the room. He didn't want to be there with AJ when he found out because he knew AJ would go insane.
"Nick, I can't tell you. I want to so bad but if Kristen found out she would kill me."
"Toni I'm not going to say anything to anyone. You obviously don't know what to do with her. I know her pretty well too and I can help her out." Nick only heard silence on the other end of the phone before Toni spoke very softly. AJ was trying to listen in on the conversation but wasn't succeeding very well since Nick kept shoving him out of the way.
"Will you let me hear!" AJ yelled trying to take the phone again. Nick got pissed off at him and shoved him down to the ground then sat on him so he couldn't get up while AJ yelled at him even more.
"Nick," Toni began. "She's going to have AJ's baby," Toni finished saying a few seconds later. Nick sat on AJ in complete shock not saying anything. He then looked at AJ who got worried by the expression on his face. "Oh shit," he finally said.
"What the hell does oh shit mean! Toni said it and you say it! What the fuck does oh shit mean!" AJ screamed when the door bell rang.
"Go answer that," Nick said getting off of AJ. He went and answered the door to see Howie, Brian, Kevin, and Angela on the other side.
"When did you three get back?" AJ asked Brian, Kevin, and Angela.
"Late last night. We stopped by your place a few minutes ago cause all of us were going to go out but you weren't home and this could be why," Brian said. AJ let the four of them in and they sat down in the living room.
"He talking with Toni?" Angela asked.
"Yes he's talking with Toni," AJ said with an attitude. Nick went into the other room to finish talking with Toni.
"So she wants to break up with him because he got her pregnant?" Nick asked confused.
"No, she wants to break up with him because she thinks he won't want the responsibility of having her and a baby."
"Listen Toni, I better go AJ is probably about ready to throw a fit and you need to find Kristen and talk some common sense into her."
"Alright but promise me you won't tell AJ. That's Kristen's job."
"I promise. Love you," Nick said hanging up the phone when his bedroom door burst open by a pissed off AJ.
"Why does my girlfriend need common sense talked into her? She's very smart?" AJ asked still yelling at Nick.
"Now you're listening outside the door? How much did you hear?" Nick asked now also pissed.
"Unfortunately that's all I heard! Now what the fuck did she tell you!"
"I am not telling you! I promised Toni I wouldn't say a word because it's Kristen's job to tell you."
"So who cares that you promised Toni!"
"I care! I have respect for who I'm dating unlike you who goes off your girlfriend for hiding a secret!"
"Yeah, you have so much respect for your girlfriends that when they won't give you what you want you go fuck their best friend," AJ said coldly.
"What did you just say?" Nick asked.
"You heard me. And at least I could get something from her unlike you." Nick didn't even wait a second before he punched AJ dead in the face knocking him over. He knocked over a lamp that was on the table and it shattered to the floor. Angela, Howie, Brian, and Kevin heard something break and got up and went to Nick's room just in time to see AJ get up off the floor and swing at Nick causing his nose to bleed. Nick grabbed AJ and shoved him into the wall almost knocking over Angela.
"What the hell do you think you are doing!" Brian yelled at them as he wrapped his arm around Angela and led her back into the living room. By this time both Nick and AJ were on the floor beating the shit out of each other. Kevin pulled Nick off of AJ and held him back while Howie held AJ back so they wouldn't kill each other.
"What is going on between you two?" Kevin asked.
"And you wonder why she won't tell you when you say that kind of shit!" Nick yelled at AJ completely ignoring Kevin.
"You never were anything but a little punk who let popularity go to his head! You and Toni will only last as long as you don't screw someone else!" AJ screamed as he elbowed Howie as hard as he could in the stomach making Howie let go of him while he tried to punch Nick again. Howie grabbed AJ and held him by his shirt collar as he shoved him up against the wall.
"You ever do that to me again and I will beat your ass," Howie said sternly not letting go of him.
"What is the wrong with you two?" Kevin asked.
"He knows what's wrong with Kristen and him nor anyone else is saying anything to me! I have a right to know!" AJ screamed.
"Well if I was her I wouldn't tell you either! You would probably yell at her for it!" Nick screamed back.
"I would never yell at her!"
"You already did," Nick said as Kevin let loose of his arms and left his room to go put some ice on his face with Kevin following behind.
"You're my best friend Bone but you need to start acting with a higher maturity level," Howie said then left. AJ sat down on the bed and for the first time he realized what a jerk he had been to Kristen and everyone else. He knew he had to fix what he had with her before he lost her for good.
