Bastet
Bast is a solar goddess shown as a woman with a cat's head.
She holds a rattle and was often confused with Sekhmet the lion headed goddess.
Bast wears an aegis (shield) embellished with a lion's head.
She is the goddess of pleasure and her temples often housed sacred cats which were thought to be incarnations of her.
