Kappa

Kappa lives in rivers and ponds and uses magic to lure people to the water where they will drown.

To avoid being drowned it is a good idea to bow to Kappa in the proper manner (bend at the waist bowing the head low). Kappa is then compelled to bow back and the water he has horded with which to drown you will pour away from a hole in the top of his head.
