Freyr

Freyr is one of the Vanir (the family of gods who govern fertility). He gave men sunshine and rain, the products of peace, joy and relaxed happiness. His ceremonies involved human sacrifice.

Freyr was associated with the horse cult and he is also linked with the boar (a protective symbol used to strengthen one's defences).

Like Manannan's ship, Freyr had s hip that could travel anywhere at will. It was big enough to carry all of the gods, but could be folded up and placed into a small pouch when not in use.

Freyr, the god of fertility, is the twin brother of Freyja, the goddess of sex.
