Frigg

Frigg has magical powers and she and her husband (Odin) often support rival humans in their claims for help. Frigg i not aversed to using trickery to get her own way.

She is often depicted as weeping. She weeps for her son Baldur who was slain by a sprig of mistletoe. Baldur could have been revived had every living creature wept for him. Frigg called on all living things to weep for him but one giantess refused. This giantess was Loki in disguise, the god who had been responsible for Baldur's death in the first place.

Frigg is so closely associated with Freyja that it is likely that they were once the same goddess.
