A Ritual To Heal The Oceans
This is a rite for the oceans of the world. Despite modern knowledge concerning the fragility of our oceans, pollution continues. If you have an opportunity to do so, go to the beach at least once just to perform this ritual. If not, perform this rite at home. This isn't a time for private, personal spells. This is a time of giving to the oceans: lending them the strength to survive. Walk into the water. Contact the element. Get wet (you don't have to swim). Then sit on the sand. Flow from one visualization to the next. Maintain each for as long as you can before continuing on.
Visualize a sparking clean ocean, free of pollution. The moon shines onto it, scattering silver light upon it's vast expanse. Waves break as they approach you, each strong and pure and clean. The foam glows with blue-green light. Visualize the swells that create waves, formed in distant places. Feel their power. Visualize them as being strong and pure and clean.
Visualize a beach on a hot summer day. See people taking their trash with them. Visualize the oceans as being strong and pure and clean. Visualize a harbor bustling with ships. See their owners and all who sail on the sea refusing to pollute the water.
Visualize the oceans as being strong and pure and clean.
Visualize the city by the ocean. See its factories refusing to discharge toxins into the water. Visualize the oceans as being strong and pure and clean.
Visualize our planet as seen from space. See its inhabitants as ocean-loving creatures, surrounded by water. Visualize its oceans as being strong and pure and clean.
Visualize a sparkling clean ocean, free of pollution. The sun shines onto it, brightening its vast expanse. Waves break as they approach, each strong and pure and clean. The foam whitely glistens. Fish swim beneath its surface through clear water. Crabs scatter on surf - splashed rocks. Coral polyps build reefs. Dolphins and seals dance through the waves. Whales echo their calls. Restless sharks maneuver through the depths. Seaweed waves in shadowy splendor...and throughout the world, we finally realize the ocean is our mother, and that we'll take care of her.
Following the visualization, touch the water once again

Gaia Healing Spell
To send out positive "healing" vibrations to the planet, perform this spell during and eclipse or when the Moon is in a waxing phase. Arrange seashells on a secluded beach to form a magick circle at least five feet in diamerer. (If you do not have a ccess to a beach, you may perorm this spell in a forest or secluded garden using stones, branches and/or flowers to form the circle.) Kneel in the center of the circle, facing the ocean. Light a blue candle and a stick of incense and place them before you. Raise your arms high with palms up in the traditional Witch's prayer position, and recite the following chant:
With smoke and flame This spell's begun.
O Goddess of the stars,
Moon and the Sun,
Let the healing power begin.
Let the Earth be whole again.
The earth is my Mother
And I am Her child.
The Earth is my lover
Free and wild.
Heal on the outside; Heal within,
Land and sea, fire and wind.
With love sincere I chant this prayer
To make mankind begin to care.
Let every sister and every brother
Heal the wounds of the Great Earth Mother.
Let the healing power begin,
Let the Earth be whole again.
Heal on the outside; Heal within,
Land and sea, fire and wind
SO MOTE IT BE!
Earth Spell
Place the appropriate enchanted herbs in a bag and take to a wild place. With your hands, dig a small hole in the Earth and pour the herbs into it. Visualise your need strongly. Cover the herbs over and leave the area. It is done.
Air Spell
Stand in an open place atop a hill or mountain, far from tall trees, buildings, and other hills. Hold the appropriate enchanted herbs in your power hand and, facing North, blow a little of them in that direction. Turn East and repeat the spell, then do so to the South. At the West blow all the herbs as far from your hand. Visualise your need strongly all the while, stating it in words if you wish.
Fire Spell
Write or make a symbol of your need on a piece of paper cut into a triangle. While visualising your need, place the appropriate enchanted herbs in the centre of the paper and crumble it tightly so that the herbs are trapped inside the pater. Anoint with oils if you wish. \line Build a roaring fire in an outside pit or indoor fireplace. Throw the herb packet into the fire. As it touches the flames firmly visualise your need. Continue to do so until the packet has been consumed by the flames.
Water Spell
Take the appropriate enchanted herbs to a river, spring, lake or seashore. Hold them tightly in your power hand and visualise your need. With a sweeping motion, scatter the herbs onto the water. The power has been sent.
Solo Ritual to the Goddess of Fire
Prepare an altar in fiery colours, with sparking objects to catch the candlelight. In the centre, place three candles; orange, red and gold. As you praise each of these Goddesses in turn light her candle and sit silently receiving Her messages and blessings.
Blessed Be the Goddess of Creativity
Bridged, Bright One
Goddess of the forge.
Teach me to bear the fires of Transformation,
The furnace that tempers my blade,
And makes me strong.
Be with me as I blaze my trail.
I light this candle
In fiery offering to you Bridged, Goddess of Fire.
Blessed Be the Goddess of Transformation
Persephone, Courageous One,
The molten Kore of the Earth,
Teach me to enter the underworld,
Without fear, and to emerge
Without regret
Light my path with your torches.
I light this candle
In fiery offering to you
Persephone, Goddess of Fire.
Blessed Be the Goddess of Faith
Hestia, Constant One.
Goddess of the hearth and temple
Teach me the lessons of commitment,
And contentment,
Service and celebration
I light this candle
In fiery offering to you
Hestia, Goddess of Fire.
I have forgotten where I found most of these. If you recognise your work here, please contact me and I will add a credit or remove the item as you wish. Thanks - Cerri
