Elizabeth Kincade
Today begins a new day, and we shall continue on with
Elizabeth Kincade ~ Kinkade.

Elizabeth Kincade , the oldest daughter of,
David Kincade and Sarah "Sally" McWhirter Kincade.
David and his Sally were married in Wilson County, Tennesse in 1824.
John Kincade was their Bond's Man and also their Witness.
Elizabeth Kincade was born in Tennesse in or about 1828.
We came up this this date because of the documents -census
we do have...with the age given on some of those documents.
Elizabeth died about 1900 here in Kentucky.After that time we
no longer find information on her.
Elizabeth married in Ohio County, Kentucky,
on Saturday April 10,1858.
What a beautiful day for a wedding.
I wonder if she had one of those big beautiful weddings
with all her family there.
To : John Wm. Ashcroft.
John was born in England/Wales in 1826.
That information was found on census and from his
children on census and other documents.
John apparently died before 1880, he is not
found on the 1880 Ohio County Ketucky, census.

By 1880 in this Ohio County , Kentucky Census we find Elizabeth
living with her son Pesant, who we will now refer to as Pleasent,since
we do find that name on documents.We find in this census Pleasent is
going by the name Kinkade and in this census it clearly state's Elizabeth
is his mother.It says both of his parents are born in Tennesse.We know
that our family did not arrive in Kentucky untill 1860 by the Butler County,
Kentucky census, or did they arrive pior to us finding them in 1860.
Proof of arrival in Kentucky.
We know Elizabeth did marry in 1858 in Ohio County, Kentucky,
this proves that our Kincade family was in Kentucky pior to 1860.
In this census we have Elizabeth as mother of two (2) son's.
naming Pleasent Kinkade as one and John W. Ascraft. Both
have said they were born in Tennesse.This leads me to believe
that both of these son's may have not been Elizabeth's husband's
children. Maybe he adopted one. Or maybe he just went by that name
because he was raised from a baby by John Ashcraft.
Also Pleasent gives his age as 30. Given that fact then we know he
was born in 1850. Certainly proving he was not John's son.
And then there is John W. the brother..he was 21 yrs. of age on this
census and that would place him to have been born in 1859 and this
proves he could be John W. Ashcraft's son.But then maybe not as he
was born in Tennesse.
I am assuming he is John's son , simply by his name.

The correct census it does not have a E in it.
The correct census is spelled as Kinad.
Elizabeth has her age wrong and her birth year wrong.
Elizabeth was born about 1828 in Tennesse.
So her age would be 72 and not 76.

We find two Ashcroft marriages at this time in Ohio County, Kentucky
and one of those are for our Elizabeth Kinkade and John W. Ashcroft.

the 1860 Ohio County Kentucky,we find David and Sarah Kingcaid,
Elizabeth's parents with her brothers and sisters in Butler County Kentucky.

This is Mary Kincade, daughter of David and Sarah "Sally" Kincade,
sister to Elizabeth Kincade Ashcroft.

And in this , we find Elizabeth with her husband John William Ashcraft
and two Kincaid boy's.Can we assume James could be Elizabeth's.
We know that Pleasent is by the 1880 Ohio County Kentucky Census.
Or did James just spend a few days with his sister.Or is there two James,
surley not. Maybe this James is the same and was counted twice.(smile)
But surly someone would know this childs age, one is 6 and the other is
9 on this census.Thats a differance of 3 years.As you know when doing
family genealogy we can go several years in between years and be fairly
accurate.So we assume this James to be one and the same and visting
his beloved sister in Ohio County, Kentucky.
Florence Ashcroft
It was discoverd by Tamara that Florence Ashcrott is
not a male as listed in the census, but is instead a female.
Florence Ashcroft was the daughter of:
William John Ashcroft and Elizabeth Kincade.
She was born in Ohio County, Kentucky in 1863.
And died before 1900.
I suspect she died at the birth of her third child,or
shortly afterward.
Florence married for the first time to :
Thursday ,December 23, 1880 in Ohio County, Kentucky.
William M. Kirby.
Born in 1850
They had one child , a son.
William Kirby.
William was born in 1884.
After the death of William M. Kirby ,
Florence then married for the seconed time on :
Thursday,July 29, 1886 in Ohio County, Kentucky.
To,Leander J. Hudnall.
They married at the Henry Kinkade home in Ohio County, Kentucky.
He born in 1852 Kentucky.
They had two daughters.
Katherine"Kate" Hudnall.
Born in 1887 in Kentucky.

Born on 1890
After the death of Florence, Leander married for the third time,

His first marriage was to :
