Rules For Posting On The Message Board...

Still, above all things, is respect. Use your
imagination to leave a post, and when someone
responds, react to their response, try to keep in mind,
if you don't respond to other players posts, they're
pretty likely to ignore your own posts as well.

No character killing on the mb. The only exceptions
being, if you and the character creator
worked this out in advance on the sidelines, or, if
you are playing the character you yourself are
killing.

Profiles: You got powers? You're going to have to
leave a brief explination of where you got
them. This description is going on the character pages
and if the powers you're using to rp with
isn't on the character page, well, you just
can't use them. IE, pulling a nuclear power
plant out of your ass to destroy colony Zeus...
just can't happen unless you ate it for dinner earlier.
I, myself, really hate this rule, having to describe
powers, but some truly have no common
sense when it comes to fairplay with weaponry...
so... this is the way the council has chosen
to try to fix this problem...too, new
powers can be learned, and learned either inside
of Exodus, or out, but you have to post
them over on the ooc board, and wait until they're
added to your character page, before you use them.
These new powers too must be validated by one of the
council members before they'll be added to your
character page.

RP Killers: No more killing rp before it starts...you
don't like what's happening? Yet you see someone
else participating that you want OUT of a
particular situation. Stop for a minute and think.
hmmm...this is rpg. Those people are
interacting. Do I really want to jump in and kill
it with one or two sentences, "saving" the day and
killing something someone started using
thought and a well phrased intro? Please choose
NOT to do that. If you're a hero, wonderful, we
all need hero's...and the situations are normally
created for someone to figure a way
to "save" the day. Just use your head to figure
out a colorful and imaginative way to be
the hero, and don't kill off what's happening in
one or two lines...NOTHING...and I repeat NOTHING
is more frustrating for players than to
have this happen... ie/ an invalid fights with 6
or 7 posts to work his way down stairs, only to
be "carried" back to bed in 1 post of maybe 10
words? OR... a seamstress has become "possessed" by
something How many Friday the 13th movies did not feature
Mrs. Voorhees' son Jason as the killer?
dark, working up to a really nice sewing
frenzy, only to be "saved" after all that work
with 1 post of someone taking away the needles causing the
problems? Another example: If you're off doing one
thing, and in a completely different part of the
castle, something happens, you can't just "appear"
there, mighty, chest thrust out, blue cape
flying...to save the day. Work your way thru the
castle. This holds true for things going on
outside around the grounds as well. Just common
sense guys.

You can NOT physically be outside the castle and
inside the castle at the same time. You can NOT
physically be in the library, and in the parlour at
the same time. This is impossible. I get more
complaints about this than most other things.
There have been times, I myself, have been tangled
up in 2 or 3 different threads. It happens.
When it does, work your way out of the stringers,
and into your main post. Don't "magically"
appear in a place you couldn't
possibly have any information or knowledge of,
simply because you want to be the hero. It's
compelling yes, but please, it's unfair, so don't do
it. Work your way over, using your mind, to
find a way to do it feasibly.

If you already have a character listed on the members
page, you do NOT, I repeat, you do NOT
have let anyone know who's playing your newest
character. Let folks wonder who's playing, that's
fun. Only new players (new typists) need to
apply over on the out of character board. You
do still need to give a brief description of
the character you're playing, so we know who or
what we're dealing with (powers and personality),
but you don't have to give away your
whole storyline.

If you are new, and would like to play here, please,
play by these rules, and go over to the out
of character board, introduce yourself, and
tell us about your character...and welcome, to Exodus.
