continues. Jacques Le Bon, the man who accidently ran over Cordelia, had a younger brother named Marc. To make this story even more tragic, as fate would have it, Brienna, Cordelia's older sister, was engaged to Marc.

All were devastated by the accident. Cordelia was barely clinging to life. I saw the family mourning and had compassion on them. I was painfully reminded of the death of my wife, the Lady Bryna, and didn't want this family to suffer a loss such as mine. Against my better judgement, I decided to turn Cordelia into a vampire so that she would not die but would be reunited with her family.

This turned out to be a grave error on my part. Gone was the innocent little girl who had once smiled and played with joy. Now there was only a bloodthirsty little beast who attacked her poor, hysterical sister. Cordelia proved too much for Brienna to handle, so I took her in as my ward and she now resides in the castle with me and my family.
