Insult used in every anime/manga there is. It means "stupid" or "idiot"
bishounen-
Literally, "Pretty young boy," bishounen are the staple of shoujo anime stories. They're usually very good looking boys
dub- anime dubbed in (usually BAD) english
fansub- anime not released in the US (or not released in all areas) that is subtitled in english by fans and sold. illegal
hentai-
Literally, "pervert"
japanamation-
another word for anime
J-pop - A term coined in the US. Its only an abbreviation of Japanese pop
music, but because of its frequent use in the anime fan community it
was become a word on its own.
kakkoi-
"Handsome"/"Cool"
kawaii-
"Cute"
Mahou Shoujo - means Magical
Girl anime. Some
characteristics of Mahou Shoujo anime are colorful transformations,
magical phrases with no meaning (i.e., "dabu dabu") and magical familiars such as cats or dragons. Some examples of Mahou Shoujo are Sailor Moon, Pretty Sammy(from tenchi muyo series) and Fancy LaLa.

mecha-
Usually mecha are huge mechanized robots, either piloted or non-piloted that are used in battle.
movies -
An anime that is released directly to theatres. They may be stand-alone movies (like Ghost in the Shell) or they may be based upon an already existing television or OAV series
nani/nan da-
"What?"
OAV or OVA-
The acronym stands for: Original Animation Video or Original Video Animation. Both of these acronyms are seen. An OAV (OVA) is an anime that is released direct to video/ld/dvd, and is not shown on television or in theatres and may be based off of an existing television series, or be released as a stand-alone. These releases are often better quality animation than television series, and sometimes has movie quality animation.

shoujo -
Anime/manga that is aimed at a young female audience. Shoujo anime often involves a lot of romance, teen angst, and bishounen
shounen -
Anime/manga that is aimed at a young male audience. These are often action oriented stories, with themes such as space, mecha,guns, etc. EX: Dragon Ball Z and Fist of The North Star
tv series -
An anime series that is shown on television, in 26 episode seasons. Some anime can run for only one season; some can run for multiple seasons (like Sailormoon.)
yaoi -
This is an acronym for: "yama-nashi ochi-nash imi-nashi" which essential breaks down to: "no climax, no resolution, no meaning" Break this down even further and you get the english: "Plot? What Plot?"
The term yaoi refers to (usually) shoujo anime/manga that centers around male homosexual relationships. The term for female homosexual relationships is yuri.
