My Opinion: The Competition
This is so funny, everyone is fighting over this whole thing and
its simple, the companies that lie about the specs their system is putting out, probably aren't very confident
about their systems. Nintendo and Sega have been the only ones to be unwavering about the specs of their machines
and it takes interviews from people who know games to bring this out into the open for us consumers to see. For
all you know You PS2 owners still think that you are playing DVD games on your PS2 and your not and its all explained
at the place I get my official info. IGN. These people know their stuff and you should know it too. If you would
look at this from the many directions you can by using this site and IGN's you will see the truth about your favorite

One of the most suprising companies this year.Sega has been in the news so much lately and some are
still puzzled by the latest gossip. Sega has always been strong in gaming. They have some of the loyalist people
following them from system to system. The only thing is they have always came out with good Ideas for their consoles.
They have just been poorly executed. A lot of hype ,no follow through. everything from the 32x adapter for the
Genesis to the Saturn and evidently up until this month. (Jan.-01) the . You heard me. The Dreamiest is the newest
thing added to their long list of failed systems. They recently announced that they are going to stop production
on the new and first 128-bit Console in a few months, and are going to start production with Sony and on their
new systems, all of which are 128 bit and are the biggest talk of the town for the gaming industry. Their latest
console (Dreamcast) is indeed a well supported system as far as its software is concerned. They came out with plenty
of titles,peripherals, and new ideas that just got the whole gaming industry thinking about what it could really
do. I must say I really enjoy its games and it has very very good graphics capabilities. Very little pixilation,
I mean, awesome sound (Dolby!) and its over all just an awesome system to play. Very high fun factor. Which is
why we play games in the first place. So if you get the chance when it comes out get your hands on a Dreamcast
and rent Shenmue or Phantasy Star Online.

I must say I have been very disappointed in this company as far as its performance
in this industry. I think that we were fine with Sega and Nintendo battling it out back in the 16-bit days. Its
just that it was just terrible that a game on Super Nintendo would look better than the Pixilated Playstation.
Donkey Kong Country looked so much better than any game on the Playstation. And yes the final fantasy series went
straight to hell when it ported to the ps. their are just too many damn boxes on the screen. and Tomb Raider why
was the game just terrible to look at, was it that they forgot to anti-alias Every game on the system or they just
don't know how. Well its not the software developers fault, they had to work with what they were given.and that
wasn't much. Yes it was a lot of hype and that's about all, that got this system through the last couple of years
and also the fact that they were very slick on how they presented this system. and if you look at it this way you
would see why I think this way. They started with HYPE. Here we have one of the best electronics manufacturers
coming into the gaming industry which a 32-bit console that pumped out this beautiful FMV movie every time the
game comes on. and they even showed the movies in the commercials to make every one want to get it. The first games
looked terrible compared to the ones out know but it all is Pixilated the same. so while every one sucks up all
this hype about these movies, they are finally coming out of the closet about the systems downfalls but they paid
$299.00 for it and they have to keep it so they wait for other games to come out of its limited selection of games,
and are pissed off at the load time of x-minutes. If you added all the minutes it took to get the game to work
then they would be really pissed off. the hours you wasted waiting for the machine to get ready to pump out that
pathetic representation of a FMV movie in the earlier part of the game, and it had to load for everything the title,the
characters,the V.S. screen, then the talking, then the game, by that time on the 64 I would have beat my level
and started dinner. its terrible its just a waste even at today's $99.00, and who wants to get a system with no
true best sellers that are bites of other games and sequels. this system lived off of sequels, if you took all
the original titles and took out the 2's,3's,4's,5's,6's,and 7's that come out 3 months after the first or sequel
before it then you would have close to the amount of titles the DC has to date. and that isn't much and I'm talking
about American releases. They didn't have a strong machine they had strong developers , and unheard-heard of developers
pumping out nice FMV movies with a under developed game attached at the speed of sound just so you could be cool
and have the latest game, and I'm sure you have traded most of them in by now at that rate who has the room in
their house for ten Final Fantasy disks at 3 disks a piece. its all just a bunch of crap.

Now the good old PS2 has
come out and boy what can you expect but a very short life that its going to have. Its hard to develope for, there
aren't that many around and the GC and Xbox is on the horizon. and their only hope is what another final fantasy
title . they are going to die off quickly this time . they tried the old DVD trick this time and even the Backward
Capability trick and it was once again all hype. In Japan the console came out and was plagued with a Flickering
disease, of some type and they said that it was fixed for the new American console but the only thing is they left
out the fact that none of the games will be DVD at all until Koei releases Kessen this spring. its been three months,
surely you didn't think that you would be getting a DVD game this Christmas. Or did you because you weren't told
this at all by Sony and you probably don't now but if you just follow this link to .com You just might take the
truth a little better from them. Anyway, its true.and also I know you PS2 lovers out there are just racking your
little skulls on that vertical control deck trying to get Dolby to work or what ever 3d sound you have. But here
is a hint. IT DOSEN'T WORK!!!! yes you heard me it doesn't support 3dsound. also they lied to you about the graphical
capabilities sorry no 60 million poly's for you. but you do get some 8 million poly's but don't take my word for
it. Hehe.so we got a slow poly pushing machine you think is top notch right .so why are so many developers so pissed
off at Sony. they say its to hard to program for. could it be its not programer friendly. well its not user friendly
either it flickers, no 3d sound, Load time still present.what's next developers leaving Sony all together? You
guessed it. Odd world never to be seen again on PS and PS2. straight to the Xbox for that and i do believe that
it was a very good decision. I know you ps lovers don't like what I'm saying you love your live 90-2001 games and
your 15 final fantasy games and 9 tomb raiders and your billions of other sequels.but you'll get over it and you'll
see it my way especially if your just read the truth elseware. Just try it and if you have proof that its worth
it email me cause I'm sure you wont.

Now these
are the Facts. This was the best system out until the Dreamcast came out. I say this if you would just think about
it for a second. Now, this is for non-Nintendo loyalist.
Your system the best huh its either 8,16,32-bit. ok so how many games that didn't show
up on any other system or PC before it came onto your system, and are originals like Mario never seen before.Ok
take those games and think about any body you know that has that same title. And look at those titles. Now out
of those take away the games that survived by having sequels come out the same year. Ok now Compare these titles
to the N64 library. I say this because its just that Nintendo has the most Million Sellers. Period. Games on other
systems sell when they first come out but you can look at the Charts and you will see some familiar games in some high places that
came out in the very first wave of N64 games. And I know what your going to say these aren't recent, but its ok
these are the most resent I could find. and they prove my point just fine. Out of the top 20 Nintendo received
11 spots and it covers all genres. Including the leading top three spots, they got most of the spots on this chart.
The DC didn't receive any spots. This is the very reason i said earlier that between Nintendo and Sony, Sega's
128-bit Dreamcast couldn't stay above the water. And the Big N stayed very close if not Leading in the software
sales battle against Sony.
The funny thing is that Nintendos's Top Three selling games are more resent games, and
the big game is Pokemon. Yep the so-called Kiddy game kicked Sony's @$$ Final Fantasy and all. Its terrible Sony's
major is flood the market with Tons of under developed games plagued by Pixilation. They make Sequels by the litter
every year, and hope that some have the FMV to attract enough people to make them a profit.
But quite the opposite is Nintendo's strategy from the way I see it. They are more concerned
with Quality not Quantity. They will push back a release date in a minute. And I am glad they will its quite ok.
I still play goldeneye to this day just as much as my newer games and we will always have a quality title to play
while another quality game is in the works. And us Nintendo loyalist know that we keep the games we get. more PS
titles are traded than any other system, go to any pawn shop or place that trades games. You can see it your self,
and the sad thing is that the Sony loyalist don't see it. you get played every time you purchase your sequel. They
leave stuff out, get it to you quick, you get board or the sequel comes out and you trade it off . Within months
you went through 39 dollars unnecessarily. But if you had Nintendo you wouldn't worry because you would have games
that have longer and more Replay Value. And you would play the same game for years because its a True Original.
So every time a sequel comes out your replay value goes down on your game's value plummets, just like cars when
the years go by your care looses thousands of dollars. your game dose the same thing, so the point is as long as
we have developers like Rare and Factor 5 making games that are like 5 years old , that out sell even current PS
titles. We will win this Console War!.
The true Key to what is going to happen to the 128 bit Console war. We have the PS2, they
had the hype and the head start. The N64 and PS and partly PS2 hype bumped the Dreamcast out of the ring. Now we
have the PS2 plagued with a terrible debut in Japan with flickering screens and lack of promised Systems (lots
of angry Sony fans and parents). Now at CES Microsoft Unveils the Xbox which blows away the specs of the PS2. They
are preying on Sony and claim that their system will be 3X more powerful than the PS2 and they will prove that
the PS is BS. But they aren't really looking at the very well kept secret that Nintendo just came out with the
same day The Game Cube. Now the hype is around the Xbox right now and now Sega jumps out of the ring,giving Microsoft
a boost in confidence. But the truth is they are the cause of allot of hype. When they came out with the initial
specs of their machine they were just counting on having to deal with the PS2 but now the GC is coming out at the
same time July of this year. Now the three will bump heads in the Arena this year and its going to be Ugly. What
both the Xbox and Gamecube have in common are the angry PS2-lacking parents and everyone else who didn't get a
game but got a system or vice versa. So now that the demos and final Specs are coming out for both systems reports
say that allot of people are going to consider the other consoles. And it doesn't help Sony that Developers are
leaving their system to program others. and the thing is allot are speaking out on their experiences developing
for it and dropping or not even considering it after getting the Development Kits.
So now Sega is going to develop for Microsoft and Sony and rumors have it that Nintendo
is offering 2 billion dollars to buy Sega in its entirety. Hmm Sega makes great games. Can you say Nintendo+Sega =
World Domination. Sonic
the Hedgehog Advance for the Game boy Advance should be hitting shelves this winter. Any way the Game cube's Specs
way out weigh the power of the PS2 and will indeed kick their @$$ One title at a time . Look at the comparison

Well
not too much to say about the software giant, but they have a system that is set to come out within the year. And
boy what a month it will be, Sony and Nintendo would have their systems out and when they show up the game industry
will be running in full steam.
Microsoft is has lately been busted and disgusted by some bad news that now has them on
the verge of a court battle or an name change for the Xbox. And yes boys and girls this means a delay for the Xbag Xbox. So that means it would be last to come out and
it would have to prove itself to the gamers that they should wait for it to because of the title was shared by
a company in Florida of the same name, Xbox. So we will see in the up and coming weeks what will happen.
They do have an upper hand here in the US, but what about Japan. Nintendo's president Mr.Yamauchi, has already
shared his views about this in one interview by IGN. And stated that Mr.Gates doesn't know games. This is true
he doesn't. and will that have an effect on how effective the system will be accepted? Yes, it will. Microsoft
is trying its best to distance its self from the Computer Software Monopoly, image we get when we think of Microsoft.
"Its not a computer, Honest." Or is it, what if you don't have to buy a monitor, then its not a computer.
You put a pentium 3 in it, a hard drive, and all the other components like 128 MB of ram, what do you have a monitor-less
computer that's what, it even has a ethernet port, and USB,if this is the case then i guess if Dell sold a monitor
less computer, added a free joystick, and sold only games for it then it would be in the Video game industry. I DON'T THINK SO. No its not going to happen. And the thing is
they cant be honest about the Specs that they are releasing. At CES (Consumer Electronics Show) this winter they
put this out and IGN couldn't let them get by with it, so its been edited but look what the Microsoft corp. put
out in their debut at the CES Show. I think its just a attack of the Sony Syndrome but but you be the Judge. Click here

Well
this is interesting some one just sneaked in the back way! Linux and Microsoft think they can battle with the Big
N and Sega, they think they can be Sony 2 and 3. Uh probably not! Sony got by on luck. But who am I to judge now.
No one can tell what is going to happen with this one. What could have possessed Linux to think that they would
succeed in the video game market? they have probably 20% of the PC's with Linux on it and Microsoft has about 80%
why would they think they have enough money to do this. I know its a set-top box but its going to support linux
games and is going to compete in this war. What do you think will happen. Leave me some feed back in my guest box,I'm
