Starr Block has been involved with the Miss Jeffersontown Pageant for fourteen years, the last five as the Executive Director. Being involved in this organization is special to Starr and her family because their family roots are in Jeffersontown and they love giving back to the community they grew up in.

Starr holds a Bachelors Degree in Nursing and a Masters Degree in Human Resource Development from the University of Louisville. Starr works for the American Heart Association as the Director of Quality Improvement Initiatives, serving hospitals across Kentucky and Ohio. Starr is married to Chris, a psychologist, her husband of twenty years.

Dr. Denise Attaway Yates has been involved with the Miss America Organization for the past 24 years as a competitor, volunteer, and currently co-vice-president and judges' chairman for the Miss Jeffersontown pageant. She has had training in piano, vocals, and gymnastics.

Denise received her Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the Medical College of GA and has a practice with an emphasis on cosmetic and reconstructive dentistry. You may also see her on national television as the expert dentist in a CREST commercial!

Outside of her professional career, Denise enjoys spending time with her husband, Scott, and two daughters, Claire and Chloe, and acting as a spokesperson for the Kentucky Stroke Association and Total Woman. She is a member of Southeast Christian Church and loves cooking, home decor, and being in the great outdoors.

Lynda has been involved with the Miss Jeffersontown and Miss Kentucky Scholarship programs for almost twenty years, eventually becoming Executive Director of the Little Miss Jeffersontown Pageant.

Lynda is the mother of three grown children and two grandchildren. She is also a former teacher. Lynda enjoys encouraging young ladies and seeing them grow into fine young women.

In her spare time, Lynda enjoys spending time with family and friends and traveling.

Debbie Robbins is a professional Christian recording artist, motivational speaker, pianist, and aspiring writer. Her work has taken her all over the United States, Japan, Korea, Germany, and Canada. She holds a Bachelor of Music Degree in Vocal Performance from Belmont University in Nashville, TN.

Debbie also has extensive training as a graduate of The Dale Carnegie Course, C.L.A.S.S. (Christian Leaders Authors Speakers) and Upper Class. Debbie is also a Certified Trainer on the subject of "The Personalities."

She has been a part of the Miss Jeffersontown Organization since 1994 and also competed in the Miss Kentucky and Miss Tennessee pageants. Debbie is happily married to Scott, and they are thrilled to be the parents of their "miracle baby boy," Jackson Scott Sumner Robbins.

Cindy is a longtime member of the Miss Jeffersontown Scholarship Program. Her eye for detail and her impeccable taste, in everything from sets to decorating to contestants’ pageant wear, make Cindy an invaluable all-around asset to the board. Cindy judged Heather French Henry in the Miss Louisville pageant the year she went on to become Miss America 2000, so she knows how to pick a star when she sees one!

Cindy has been a kindergarten assistant for 7 years at St Matthews Elementary. She and her husband Hans have been married for 20 years. They have lived all over the world, including California, Washington D.C., and New Zealand. They have two children, Jacqueline, 15, and Hans III, 13.

Melanie is a systems analyst for Baptist Healthcare in Louisville. A Jeffersontown alumni, she holds a BA in Business from McKendree College and an MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University.

She has been with the pageant for seven years, starting out as an assistant stage manager. She combines her technical side with her creative side by maintaining the Miss Jeffersontown website and creating the program book for the last two years.

Her hobbies include reading, writing, and clothing design. She also runs two successful businesses from her home.
