What people are saying about the Dave Verny Band.

WAWK Kendallville, IN.

Hi Gary:

Funny you should write today, as we did receive the CD, added to our playlist and in fact played "Bouquet In Heaven" last night on our statewide show: "The Bluegrass Sound". Thanks for sending the cd, nice stuff!

If the band ever gets to travel near our area, they might contact Bill Wells of Bills Music Shop (803) 796-6477 for possible bookings. Feel free to use my name as a recommendation. This is a convenient site for live recordings for our show also, as there is a DAT machine hooked right into the board and good acoustic set up. There are several other possible venues I could suggest as well in our general area.

Thanks again, and best wishes to the band...

Tradititional Bluegras in the

Flatt and Scruggs Style!
The Dave Verny Band along with former Bluegrass Boy, "Tony Ellis" was presnt at the Rosine Project. The Bill Monroe Foundation is building a park dedicated to the Life and Music of Bill Monroe.
The band weathered the heat and came on after the Legendary Ralph Stanley and Bill Monroe's son, James Monroe and the Midnight Ramblers.
I had a real good time talking with the band at the event.
The next day they taped a show to be aired on The Cumberland Highlanders Show, aired on The Outdoor Channel three times a week.

The Dave Verny Band is one of the best traditional bluegrass bands around, Campbell Mercer said.
Campbell Mercer is Executive Director of The Bill Monroe Foundation and host of The Cumberland Highlanders TV Show.
