In one way or another, he has inspired or influenced most all musicians from Kentucky and other states and countries!
BILL MONROE

 THE FATHER OF BLUEGRASS MUSIC
 Born William Smith Monroe on September 13th, 1911 at Rosine, Kentucky
Died September 9th, 1996 at Nashville, Tennessee

Bill Monroe developed and perfected the bluegrass music form and taught it to many great names in the industry. Even-tempered and a possessor of spiritual values, this direct descendant of the fifth President of the United States was a composer and recording artist. He helped stimulate interest in this form of down-to-earth music in colleges long after its initial popularity.

LORETTA LYNN
Born January 14, 1932 at Butcher Holler, KY
Inducted to The Country Music Hall of Fame in 1988



KEITH WHITLEY
Born in Sandy Hook, KY on July 1st, 1954
Died in Nashville, TN on May 9th 1989
Keith lived a short life, but his music has influenced manny people. I am sure that one day he will have a plaque somewhere in the Hall Of Fame.
