Welcome to my ever-growing site on Emily Starr, the heroine of three books by L.M. Montgomery, Emily of New Moon, Emily Climbs, and Emily's Quest. I was first a fan of Montgomery's Anne of Green Gables books, but I discovered her other writings and found the Emily books to be my favorite, which I've been reading since age eleven. The Emily books are more realistic and thus darker than than the Anne books - not every problem ends happily. Emily is driven by her dreams of a literary career, because writing is her passion.
This site is devoted only to the literary character, and not the television series, which I've never seen and doesn't air in my little corner of the globe anyway.
