If you are looking for an LMM bio: I would reccomend her short collection of memoirs, titled The Alpine Path. However, it's very hard to find, and if you do find it, you may be dismayed at its short length - but I think it's a worthwhile read. It was brought back into print early this year for a short time and it may still be available. I also reccomend Writing A Life by Mary Rubio and Elizabeth Waterson, who also edited LMM's journals.
