Boone County (4-3) vs. Bryan Station (4-3)
October 13, 2000John Nochta's Bryan Station squad has been led this year on offense by 6-2½ 235 pound Eric Shelton. "E-Train" has rushed for 982 yards in six games despite opposing defenses keying on him and fighting off the results of a nagging ankle injury. Bryan Station has gone to the air more lately to attempt to stretch out defenses to give Shelton more running room. Coach Rick Thompson has led the Boone County Rebels to a 4-3 record despite the loss of star running back Timmy King due to an injury.
Bryan Station used their defense and a very effective passing attack to defeat an injury-riddled Boone County squad 30-7. Bryan Station's Eric Shelton only gained 69 yards on 19 carries for the night but turned in a solid performance at defensive tackle. QB Bruce Kostelnik completed 7 of 14 passes for 157 yards and one TD pass.
Keric Seals, a 5-4 130 pound Jr. cornerback had two fumble recoveries and a pass interception. LB Darrell Brooks finished off the Bryan Station scoring with a 35 yard interception return as time expired.
