Madison Central (1-0) vs. Meade County (1-0)

Madison Central defeated Bryan Station in their opener, but it was a costly victory for Paul Rains as he lost starting QB Lamaur Hocker for several weeks with a collarbone injury.  Coach Larry French has 25 seniors on this year's Meade County squad and is switching from a wishbone offense to a more balanced attack.  230 pound FB Nathan Barker and 5-7 speedster Darnell Stewart should provide a very effective inside-outside ground game for the Greenwave.

Meade County totally dominated this game and defeated Madison Central by a score of 45-0.  Meade County took a 21-0 lead at halftime, then the game was delayed almost an hour due to lightning.  Madison Central committed numerous turnovers in the third quarter and Meade County ran the score to 45-0 at the end of three quarters.  Meade County went deep into the depth chart on the final period and the game ended with a 45-0 victory for Meade County.

Meade County was led by Darnell Stewart, who carried the ball 10 times for 145 yards and one score.  Blake Powers completed 8 of 12 passes for 142 yards and two touchdown passes.  Dustin Bullock led Madison Central with 36 yards on nine carries.  Steven French intercepted one pass and caught a 47 yard scoring strike from Blake Powers and was named MVP for Meade County.  Dustin Bullock was named game MVP for Madison Central.
