Highlands raced out to a 28-0 halftime lead on their way to a big victory over Danville. The Bluebirds avenged a 26-25 defeat at the hands of Danville last season.
The Pirates ran for 347 yards including 153 yards and three touchdowns by Doug Howard on 15 carries in a shutout victory.

Game of the Week
St. Xavier QB Brent Curley completed 21 of 23 passes for 176 yards and ran for two TDs to lead the Tigers to victory. This game was played before a Kentucky high school football record crowd of 37,500 at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium and ended Trinity's 15 game winning streak. St. Xavier improves to 4-1 for the season while Trinity's record drops to 4-1.
