Newport Central Catholic raced out to a 28-0 lead and Coach Bob Schneider notched his 300th coaching victory in a
41-14 victory over LCA. QB Sam Diehl connected on 14 of 19 passes for 232 yards with scoring strikes
of 67, 49, and 88 yards. Michael Vicars led the ground game with 115 yards and TD runs of 52 and 15
yards on 11 carries.
Bardstown gained 229 yards on 48 rushing attempts and Brian Calhoun scored on runs of 13, 3, and 6 yards
to lead the Tigers to victory. Bardstown improves to 13-0 for the year.

Somerset utilized two big defensive plays to lead the Briar Jumpers to victory.
Kyle Moore returned a blocked field goal 83 yards to set up Somerset's first score, a one yard TD run by
Rose Deaton, and Kenny Hughes returned an interception 77 yards for another score. RB
Scott Newell rushed for 142 yards and scored on a three yard run.

Mark Maynard ran for 224 yards and scored on runs of 50, 9, 48, and 28 yards
to lead the Pirates to victory. Cory Chapman added 134 yards and scored on TD runs of 70 and 47 yards.
DeSales scored 34 points in the second quarter on their way to a 55-8 victory.

St. Xavier led 21-7 after three quarters but had to survive a John Hardin comeback to eke out the victory.
