Bell County finally pulled away in the final quarter to defeat Tates Creek 35-20 and remain undefeated. Tates Creek led twice in the game, 6-0 and 14-7. Bell County tied the game at 14-14 on a 13 yard pass from Kyle Nelson to Chase Ely and a conversion kick by Monte Merrick with 25 seconds remaining in the first half. The two teams traded TDs in the third quarter with Tates Creek missing the extra point kick and Bell County took a 21-20 lead entering the final quarter. Bell County finished strong in the final quarter, outscoring the Commodores 14-0 down the stretch.
Bell County recorded 15 first downs and 348 yards of total offense. They were penalized 10 times for 79 yards and had one pass intercepted. Tates Creek had 12 first downs and 267 yards of total offense. The Commodores were penalized seven times for 72 yards, lost a fumble, and had one pass intercepted.
Spencer Greer led the Bell County ground attack with 215 yards and two touchdowns on 26 carries. Kyle Nelson completed 10 of 11 passes for 97 yards with two touchdowns before leaving the game with an injury. Shawnta Zachery caught four passes for 38 yards and a TD. Shawn Henderson led the defense with five solo and one assisted tackles. Christian Mason added five solo tackles with two of his tackles accounting for losses totalling nine yards. Taylor Mills chipped in with four solo and two assisted tackles with two of his tackles accounting for losses totalling five yards.
Ty Sparks led the Tates Creek ground game with 210 yards and three touchdowns on 32 carries. Mike Stone completed seven of 15 passes for 44 yards with one interception. Robert Knowles caught three passes for 31 yards. Joe Conlon led the defense with six solo and four assisted tackles. Brent Abshire added five solo and three assisted tackles.
