Henry Clay's offense rolled up 432 yards of total offense and the defense recorded four turnovers in a 41-30 victory over Clark County. The officials also got a workout tonight as Henry Clay was penalized 14 times for 125 yards and Clark County was flagged 11 times for 98 yards.
Henry Clay recorded 20 first downs and 432 yards of total offense. The Blue Devils lost one fumble. Clark County had 17 first downs and 374 yards of total offense. The Cardinals lost two fumbles and had two passes intercepted.
Dontey Gay led the Henry Clay ground game with 164 yards and a TD on 21 carries. Ryan Phillippi added 45 yards and two touchdowns on 13 carries. Phillippi completed 15 of 23 passes for 212 yards with three touchdowns. Aaron Boyd caught seven passes for 121 yards and two touchdowns. Jacob Bell led the defense with seven solo and two assisted tackles. Ed Nzolameso-Bangudi added five solo and four assisted tackles, with four of his tackles accounting for losses totalling 15 yards. Mike Federspiel recorded four solo and five assisted tackles.
Travis Conner led the Clark County ground game with 84 yards on 14 carries. Ryan Williams carried the ball six times for 76 yards and two TDs. Dougie Mason chipped in with 53 yards and two touchdowns on 17 carries. Mason completed 16 of 24 passes for 140 yards with one interception. Jarran Thomas caught six passes for 69 yards. Tatum Lewis added four receptions for 29 yards. Ryan Williams led the defense with nine solo and one assisted tackles. Tatum Lewis added eight solo and two assisted tackles.
