Marion County QB Eric Miles threw a 43 yard TD pass to Bryson Bell with eight seconds left on the clock to give his team a 42-39 victory over Anderson County. They led by a score of 35-17 after three quarters but Anderson County scored three touchdowns to take a 39-35 lead with 1:43 left on the clock. Marion County started their winning drive on their own 20 with 1:43 left on the clock. The Knights scored eight plays later on a third-and-16 play to earn the victory.
Marion County recorded 15 first downs and 379 yards of total offense. The Knights were penalized four times for 30 yards. Anderson County had 19 first downs and 423 yards of total offense. They were penalized seven times for 35 yards, lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted.
Jordan Bell led Marion County's ground attack with 162 yards and two touchdowns on 15 carries. B. Hazelwood carried the ball eight times for 87 yards and a touchdown. Eric Miles completed five of 15 passes for 84 yards and two touchdowns. Jordan Bell completed a 31 yard pass for a touchdown. Bryson Bell caught four passes for 92 yards and three touchdowns. T. J. Jones led the defense with nine solo and 10 assisted tackles. Dylan Peterson added six solo and six assisted tackles. Eric Miles recorded six solo and three assisted tackles.
Jacob Russell led the Anderson County ground game with 45 yards on 13 carries. Russell completed 26 of 37 passes for 336 yards and three touchdowns with one interception. Jordan Alves caught nine passes for 101 yards and a touchdown. Grant Cox added six receptions for 106 yards and a TD. B. J. Robinson recorded six receptions for 43 yards. Jordan Alves led the defense with six solo and seven assisted tackles. Cody Dixon added seven solo and three assisted tackles. Jacob Russell recorded six solo tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses totalling 10 yards.
