Henry Clay rallied from a 21-14 deficit midway throught the third quarter to earn a 28-21 victory over Bryan Station. Henry Clay dominated statistically tonight but Henry Clay's three turnovers helped keep Bryan Station in the game.
Henry Clay recorded 24 first downs and 444 yards of total offense. The Blue Devils were penalized nine times for 86 yards, lost a fumble, and had two passes intercepted. Bryan Station had seven first downs and 170 yards of total offense. The Defenders were penalized eight times for 52 yards.
Tyler Hooker led Henry Clay's ground game with 161 yards and a TD on 28 carries. Cole Mielcarek completed 19 of 28 passes for 278 yards and three touchdowns with two interceptions. Jason Rider caught seven passes for 95 yards and a touchdown. Branden Johnson added six receptions for 124 yards and two touchdowns. Cy Curnette led the defense with two solo and five assisted tackles. Mike Federspiel added two solo and three assisted tackles.
Patrick Cornett led Bryan Station's ground game with 62 yards on 19 carries. Brady Boling completed eight of 19 passes for 98 yards and three touchdowns. Muhammad Saifullah caught four passes for 73 yards and two touchdowns. Octavian Crutcher led the Defender defense with seven solo and five assisted tackles. 3.5 of Crutcher's tackles resulting in losses totalling 12 yards. Earl McCann recorded five solo tackles, two assisted tackle, and recovered two fumbles.
