Scott County rolled up 439 yards and six touchdowns on the ground in a 48-20 victory over Greenwood. The Cardinals averaged 8.4 yards per carry on 52 rushing attempts.
Scott County recorded 24 first downs and 469 yards of total offense. The Cardinals were penalized nine times for 73 yards and lost two fumbles. Greenwood had 14 first downs and 293 yards of total offense. They were penalized eight times for 65 yards and lost a fumble.
The Scott County ground game was led by Jose Smith with 182 yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries. Anthony Sandoval carried the ball eight times for 132 yards and two touchdowns. Corey Cronin recorded 45 yards on six carries. Cronin completed two of four passes for 30 yards. Josh Walls caught one pass for 18 yards. Victor Brent led the defense with six solo and one assisted tackles. Aaron Mudrak added three solo and four assisted tackles.
Hunter Thompson led Greenwood's ground game with 89 yards on seven carries. Logan Pemberton completed 15 of 26 passes for 160 yards and one touchdown. Dee Anderson caught four passes for 59 yards. Austin Howell added four receptions for 10 yards and a TD. Hunter Thompson recorded two catches for 58 yards. Sam Wilson led the defense with three solo and seven assisted tackles. Bl. Haswell added four solo and three assisted tackles.
